And academics are so strict abroad especially sa plagiarism, hello taas kaya ng standards and grading requirements sa universities. Try mo.
@12:59, Essay Writing 101: everything is an argument. It’s not in the word count, it’s in the choice of words. Your school might not have so much writing, but certainly you encounter such thinking for every asssessment.
659 I'm here in Australia and schools require students to write a lot, It's not just a matter of choice of words, it requires a lot of high level research and analysis. It's not something you encounter but it is meant to be quantifiable to an acceptable standard. And no, just to clarify especially to our FP readers, there is no such thing as just 12 essays per semester especially when it comes to social work. You must have other types of assessments in social work (aside from essays) for sure.
11:51and 12:59 Hindi sabaw dito sa Australia mag-aral.Mataas ang standards.May kakilala ako nagsusulat ng thesis tapos Nabaliw na sya.Ayun andun na sa Mental Institution.Tapos yung magulang sobrang gulat Kasi nga matalino na dati yung anak eh Di nakayanan dito.
I’m based in singapore and clarify ko lang, yung mga undergraduate degree dito in some universities have the title “with honours” lalo pag 4 years and with thesis (may ibang university degrees kasi na 3 years lang). It does not equate with the honors system in the Philippines, i.e. cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude.
Honours then the course. This is good for clarification purposes.
In singapore- we adopted the British honours degree. With honours means with degree. Pag mataas ang grades mo, with distinction or high/highest distinction if offered by the university. Based on the coat of arms sa photo, di sya graduate from the local 3 universities in Singapore. Most likely Singapore campus from a UK based university. Anyways, congratulations !
correct, yan din ang alam ko sa Singapore iba ang honours degree, everyone who graduates in that particular course is given the honours degree title. 1:50 well at least he graduated.
Graduating with Honours means a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree. It is a university degree in the UK that is a bit higher than the normal Bachelor of Science degree, and not that a student graduated with honours accorded for performing academically well. Probably, Jake graduated in Singapore from a UK-branch university?
That's the thing that is not clear. He was studying in Europe years ago but did not graduate. Honours in other countries is not the same as our Summa Cum Laude, Cumlaude honors in the Philippines. Everyone who graduates from that batch for this particular course or degree is Honours.
Mga beks - google nyo. Jake graduated college in London. And took his masters in Singapore. This graduation is for his masteral course in Singapore. Dami nyo pang kuda
@12:01 Correction, when you graduate in the U.K. with an Honours degree there is a required grade. Hindi ka basta basta pwede makagraduate dahil may additional one year ka.And yes, academic performance still comes in.There is a certain standard.
I’m assuming it took him this long to graduate cuz he failed & stopped his education to travel and party๐ it’s not like he’s going to make use of his degree anyways.
Iba't ibang klase Yan sa British Universities, Pero may standard talaga (required grade) at after makatapos ka based on academic merit yung kung ano ibibigay sayo.
I don’t think the comments were taking anything away from the achievement of graduating. Gusto lang naman i-clarify ng mga ka-FP yung details kasi there’s an implied misrepresentation sa post ni Jerika.
Infairness kahit walwal itey.

For sure mag vacation nanaman ang gagawin niya๐๐
ReplyDeleteWhat are you trying to imply with communications???
Deletebaka doctorate in communications.

DeleteNot true!
Studying social work we write 12 essays per semester... sabaw na akech minsan hehe!

ReplyDelete1:42 Thanks for the clarification kung hindi, marami na naman mauuto.
Deletethanks sa info.
DeleteMasteral yang natapos niya. Same din ang rule?
Deletecorrect, because if you remember he was studying in London, so bakit ang ending is in Singapore?
