ReplyDeleteAs a side note, water refilling stations in malls should help reduce plastic consumption. I think mas malaking issue ang pangangalaga sa kalikasan than the fact na magastos bumili ng bottled water.

DeleteI think by choosing service water over bottled water, more than the cost savings, you are saving the environment. Hindi issue dito na porke na-afford ni Daphne mag-order ng coffee and cupcake eh nagkukuripot sya on bottled water. That is not the point.
ReplyDeleteI had this in mind too. And it's still not in our system to bring our own water bottles when going out, so it's a good thing if restos can provide clean water instead.

Delete8:51, so pretentious. Not living in the US but when I eat out be it fine dining or casual I do ask for water because I am allergic to alcohol and I don’t like soda or sugar-laden fruit drinks. If they don’t have service water then that’s the time to order sparkling water.

ReplyDeleteAko ayaw ko ng service water kasi di ko alam kung San galing kaya I always bring water with me or kung maubos ko na yung tubig, buy na lang ako ng distilled or anything soda in can just to be safe.
ReplyDeletesuper Agree! Only in the Philipines talaga.Here in Singapore, kids can bring their own water in the hawker centres to discourage them from drinking sweetened beverages, and service water is available in restaurants. There are already too much plastic bottles in the Philppines.

DeleteSince napagusapan na rin, pansin ko lang sa ibang airport they have water fountain dun mismo sa boarding gate, which is very practical. Since bawal ang liquid and you need to get rid of your bottled water when going thru security checks. mas convenient at practical na magdala na lang ng refillable water bottle tapos magrefill just before you board the plane and this is common practice in most airports, pero sa Pinas di ako nakakakita ng water fountain sa airport. or baka meron di ko lang makita?

DeleteTotoo! May option pa nga for hot water dun sa mga gusto magkape or magnoodles. I experienced this in Nagoya. Sa ibang airport din halos bawat sulok may drinking fountain. Bukod sa mga ganitong amenities, hindi rin mabilang ang toilets which are EXTREMELY maintained. Hay Pilipinas kong mahal, kaya pa ba naten umusad?
DeleteThe business of bottled water is bringing our environment literally to the dumps. Paki-google ang Great Pacific garbage patch. People should start bringing their own reusable water containers so you wouldn’t be forced to buy bottled water if ayaw magbigay ng service water.
