  1. I think medication intake is better than hollistic ways. Better follow the doctor's order. Just an opinion

    2. Medication causes more damage in the long run. It temporarily heals you but it does not address the issue. Depending on how severe your condition, these things can be done naturally. Slowly but surely

    3. Consult a naturopath or a functional medicine doctor. Mga doctor din po yang mga yan. Conventional doctors treat the symptoms. Functional medicine treat look for the cause. Sabi nga ni Hippocrates let food be they medicine and medicine be thy food. Ms Michelle if you are reading this listen to podcasts of functional medicine doctors, naturopath doctors, those who specialize in nutrition. Most of them have suffered from an autoimmune condition and changing their diet and lifestyle healed them. Of course those podcasts are only meant to inform you. You still need to talk and consult with a doctor that will suit your modality of healing.

    4. Mas gusto ko pa yung hollistic healing baks kesa sa mga resita ng doctor, na temporary healing lang naman like what 1:00 said. Saksi ako sa natural way of healing first-hand.

    5. It actually depends on severity and if she has other underlying problems with her gut. There are tests that she can get done if it's available there, I dunno. I also have a gut problem and a lot of the ppl in my support group has Hashimoto's as well and it all stems from the gut. Good that she's open to holistic healing. It's not all about pharma meds. There are herbals that you can take that can work just as well if not better than some antibiotics without the side effects. A diet change is also a must. She needs to seek a legit functional or naturopath doctor.

    6. It is a mix of both. Eat, take meds, exercise... And most importantly, pray.

    8. Wala pa nga daw pineprescribe ang doctor so in the meantime, nagreresearch sya ng alternative medications. Kung ikaw ang may sakit, or someone you really care about kahit ano talagang sususbukan mo kung may slightest chance na bubuti yung kalagayan diba?

  4. I have Hashimotos and it is frustrating. I used to be thin, now i am gaining weight uncontrollably despite the added exercise and less carbs and sugar. My hair is 1/4 of how thick it used to be and i am always sleepy, bloated and constipated

    1. Kasi bumababa ang immunity nila hindi balance diet ang kinakain ang mga vegan mukhang tuyot!

    2. Pano puro protein shake lang iniinom. Minsan kasi di mo naman need iwasan lahat ng pagkain just eat lang in moderation.

    3. @1:55 Pag healthy living, vegans agad naisip mo? FYI, vegans refuse to consume and use anything that came from animals not for dietary purposes, but because they are AGAINST ANIMAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE! Vegans and vegetarians are not the same. Educate yourself bago ka magkukuda kuda about veganism. And why are you so judgmental towards non meat eaters? If you havent tried it and if you dont understand why they do it, stop criticizing. Kung makasabi ka ng mukhang tuyot siguraduhin mong napaka ganda ng balat mo ah. Karamihan ng kilala kong vegetarians at vegans mapupusyaw ang balat.

    5. Hormones na kasi yan eh.

  6. It's good that she got diagnosed early. Hypothyroidism is easy to control with dietary changes and a small pill. The hardest part is dealing with the constant fatigue, loss of focus or mental fogginess, insomnia, and even depression. You can no longer function through the day on 100% energy and it can be depressing. So good luck on the holistic approach, I hope it works for her.

    1. Anon 2:13, that is a lazy/loser’s excuse. We should always be proactive with our health. That means not giving in to the latest fad/diet.

    2. @3:23 agree! Hindi porke lahat tayo mamamatay, hindi na tayo magiingat at magaalaga ng sarili.

  9. Natural o holistic o with docs prescribed meds....i think depende yun sa reaction ng katawan ng bawat tao.. but wishing for her wellness..ang hirap mgkasakit.... Sakit sa bulsa. Hayy

  10. Protein shake is never healthy. Too much protein is never healthy. And 12:13 that is one reckless opinion. Justifiable pag nagkasakit? There are other factors involved in being afflicted with a disease. Life is only short for those who don't want to live healthy.

    1. I have a friend who took protein shakes daily. Ayun nakalbo. Too much of anything is bad talaga. Exercise and eating in moderation is the key.

    2. question lang, bakit ba need ng protein shake? ayaw lang nila kumain ng protein rich foods? ganern?

    2. Because she knows she will be judged by her physical changes, low energy, at kung ano pang symptom ng sakit nya. Kaya pinangunahan na nya.

Talking about it can also bring people with the same illness together and give each other support.

  12. Hope she is open to both holistic and medical treatments. I know someone who was in denial for so long, continued just doing all natural/ holistic remedies and before she knew it, it was too late to reverse and suddenly died.
