After reading the posts, I agree with the comments from the reader. The dining room looked so granny but with a lot of potential. If you could not afford of hiring an interior designer, you can always google or buy house design magazines to enrich your knowledge in interior decorating.

Kahit anong re-arrange n’ya mahihirapan s’ya to get a farmhouse feel. Kulang na kulang s’ya sa finishes palang. The floor is even tiled. If she wanted a farmhouse feel they should’ve gone with wooden flooring or at least, wood-looking finishes. Kulang na kulang sa texture yung house to achieve the looks she wants.

You can't do farmhouse and minimalist as a design at the same time. Different concepts. The stuff that she has now doesn't even look farmhouse or minimalist. I personally hate the look of open shelves just because of dust specially if we're talking plates and all that. Not sure what look she's going for, but very hodge podge ang dating. And china cabinets are so passé and def not minimalist.
I would say that Neri's taste IS baduy right now, for me a dining area shouldn't have appliances, they belong in the kitchen.. but we've all been there.. It's always good to listen to others if it makes sense.. Later on, magiging maganda din yan if you consult with pros.. just say thank you for the advice given.. hindi tayo laging bida.. a wise misis knows she doesn't have all the answers.. watch the KonMari method on YouTube if you're aiming for a minimalist look.. Kahit anong re-arrange n’ya mahihirapan s’ya to get a farmhouse feel. Kulang na kulang s’ya sa finishes palang. The floor is even tiled. If she wanted a farmhouse feel they should’ve gone with wooden flooring or at least, wood-looking finishes. Kulang na kulang sa texture yung house to achieve the looks she wants.

ReplyDeleteYou can't do farmhouse and minimalist as a design at the same time. Different concepts. The stuff that she has now doesn't even look farmhouse or minimalist. I personally hate the look of open shelves just because of dust specially if we're talking plates and all that. Not sure what look she's going for, but very hodge podge ang dating. And china cabinets are so passé and def not minimalist.

DeleteI would say that Neri's taste IS baduy right now, for me a dining area shouldn't have appliances, they belong in the kitchen.. but we've all been there.. It's always good to listen to others if it makes sense.. Later on, magiging maganda din yan if you consult with pros.. just say thank you for the advice given.. hindi tayo laging bida.. a wise misis knows she doesn't have all the answers.. watch the KonMari method on YouTube if you're aiming for a minimalist look..
