The Challenging Comeback

Reinvention is a primary requisite if one wants to stay long in the entertainment industry. A celebrity needs to keep offering something new to keep fans excited and anticipating at what more can be expected. For instance, an actor can venture into dancing and singing, or a singer can do a drama episode. Sometimes, celebrities hint at love interests, which would make fans hopeful for the day when the interest becomes reality. By presenting something new, a celebrity can extend his/her popularity.

The process of reinventing and remaining in the limelight can be addicting and challenging at the same time. For some celebrities, a lull in their career can make them feel uneasy and the desire to be visible can hit them hard. Thus, when Flexible Celebrity (FC) realized that a life-changing decision can affect everything she had worked for, and the specter of not appearing in front of the camera seemed terrifying.

When the executives advised FC to take it easy because of her condition, she did not listen and continued to work until the very last moment possible. Even if she had the blessing of the bosses to take as much time to recover, FC was raring to go back and face her fans, who understood that she needed time for herself and her family. Thus, conflicts were inevitable between FC and her family, who did not want her to return to work immediately. It was during her moment of resting when her family was in crisis due to an alleged relationship transgression.

Nonetheless, as soon as FC felt she could face the cameras, she came back as though nothing happened. Just as when FC thought everything was back to normal, as she had her career back, a project was planned to be scrapped. FC could not believe the decision and would not allow such to happen. Thus, using her influence, she requested for a reformat just to make sure the project would not be cancelled. However, reality says that her present career was no longer as hot as before. While she is still as competent as ever, some projects did not fare as expected and endorsements were not as numerous. For now, FC is back to work, and that seems to be all that matters.
