1:27 not really. cultural appropriation is when you adopt certain elements from another culture without the consent of people who belong to that culture.
In general, you don't need to adapt to a country's accent. Language siguro. You would pick up an accent in the long run, kumbaga mahahawa ka, but no one HAS to adapt to an accent.
You do need to adapt the accent or they wont underStand you. If they have a different way of saying the language you have to adapt. “When in rome do what romans do”
It helps ma adapt yung accent kase mas maiintindihan ka nila. I dnt need to explain pa but anyone living abroad can get that. Wag lng mg accent just for the heck of it but for the purpose na mas maintindihan ka.
Yes, in a way you have to adopt to the accent, else it’ll be a disaster. Say an Australian saying “today” in America to an American with his Aussie accent would sound “to die” which is such a completely different thing altogether.
Accent is also important just like learning the language. Mas maiintindihan ka nila if you try talking with their accent.
To those people who say you dont need to adapt accent are those people na nde pa nakatungtong sa ibang bansa.
I think kahit hindi mo pilitin maaadapt mo talaga eventually e. Around 3 years after we moved to Cavite from Manila, sabi ng friend ko nagiba na daw salita ko. Parang me punto na. Hehe..
3:28, I have been in living in London for 21 years.I made no attempts to change my accent and the people around me understood me just fine. This is a melting pot after all, all accents are accepted.Okay?Wag feeling know it all.
I agree 3:39. I’ve been living here in California for the last 26 years but I’ve never changed my accent, and people understand me perfectly. Some people who adapt to an accent sound unnatural, even pretentious, because they try too hard to sound like the locals—even when speaking to a kababayan.
Yung pag adapt ng accent hindi mo minsan sinasadya yan, kahit mga taga ibang bansa for example sa uk or sa us sila sila nagkaka adapt-an ng accent. Kung hindi mo inadapt it means talagang you made a conscious effort not to.
I dont understand any of this, tbvh

DeleteAnong problema ni Kim kay Lindsay? Why is she mocking her?
ReplyDeleteLindsay use to spread nasty things about Kim K when she was still hanging out with Paris Hilton.
Delete12:28am, Google their ganap circa 2007 when they were the so-called "pasaway wannabe IT girls" then. Hahahahahahahahhaa!
ReplyDeleteTrue. Only Bo Derek can pull that off.
DeleteSi lindsay nag eeffort naman magbago. Sayang, talented sana pero wala ng producers willing mag take ng risk for her.
ReplyDeleteLiked by Isabelle Daza...of course she's the water down/budget version of the Katrashians.
ReplyDeleteTrue! Sobrang wannabe nung Isabel Daza.
DeleteNoon or ngayon it doesn’t matter, at least her claim to fame then was her talent. Can the same thing be said of Kim??
Delete- not 12:31
Lindsay just got owned gurl!!!!
ReplyDeleteUh not really.
DeleteBirds of a feather. Both attention seekers and has beens. Kim should take care of her newborn instead of flashing her tatas 24/7. Desperate ho.
ReplyDeleteKim K is a black woman wanna be.
ReplyDelete12:37 *The whole Kardashian fam
DeleteConfusing naman talaga chura nyan oh at mukhang bading.
ReplyDeleteLohan has done the Brit accent for The Parent Trap
ReplyDeleteHaha anong konek non? That was eons ago!
DeleteKonek kasi it means kaya niyang mag uk accent. Unlike kim nagfefeeling black di naman kaya i pull off ang braids
DeleteBattle of the famewhores
Tsk!
ReplyDeletewell... itim ang jusawa, so feeling sistah in the hood si ate girl, hahaha!

ReplyDeleteThat's FETCH!
ReplyDeleteStop trying to make fetch happen gretchen.

ReplyDeleteParehas lang sila lol, yung isa trying to be british yung isa naman trying to be black. Tacky tacky tacky
ReplyDeletePansin ko lang bukod ke kourtney, ang hilig nilang lahat sa black guy, tama cguro yung kasabihang "when you black, you'll never go back" hehehe....
