  2. But still the big question is why did they let Apo Whang od do the tattoo to 200 or more persons in a couple of days?

    3. actually po yung kasama ni Apo Whang Od from Kalinga yung nagtatatoo rin sa karamihan, then parang may finishing touch po ni Apo after nila so hindi po yung buong tattoo ng 200+ people na yun si Apo lang...

  3. she seemed happy naman, although i understand na di rin maiwasan mag react nung iba cos of her age, bored pala sya sa picture hindi pala pagod. Tsk. Overall i'm glad that she's safe, fine and enjoyed the experience.

    1. True!

How could this be a personal motive eh yung kinita jan mapupunta sa mga katutubong katulad nya?

  5. Apo Whang was exploited, period. Measures could have been implemented to ensure she tattooed only 120 people as agreed. The program could have been modified to ensure the guests do not get bored or the program itself doesn't add to the fatigue of the guests. What happened was relatively predictable and foreseeable. They just really milked the novelty and gravity of Apo Whang at the expense of Apo Whang's health, dami pa kuda :(

  6. sa iba malinaw na exploitation ito. sa iba, may bayad naman at gusto niya kaya okay lang. may choice ba siya? coco should have refused kase nagamit siya. the least he could do is visit her at her home.

  7. I assume Apo was like a typical matatanda na sanay magtrabaho kaya ayaw ng walang ginagawa not the one we have in mind na mahina na kasi matanda na.

But if this event is for free, just part of parang introducing us to Apo Wang Ods culture and traditions, then it is ok.Point is, pinagkakitaan ba ito.

If so, then that is exploitation.
