I closed my eyes listening. The difference is very evident. Sarah sounded like an ordinary singer. I can hear medyo hirap nga si Sarah and seemed like she is trying too hard. While Regine naman sounded like nagpipigil ng birit, maybe to support Sarah at di nya masapawan.
Ang hirap ka duet ni Miss Reg. parang kahit gaano ka kagaling ns singer, mailalampaso ka nya without too much sweat huhu.
Insecure na insecure ka para sa idol mo 12:33! Sabihin mo sa kanya practice pa sya ng madami ha. Maabot din nya ang kinalalagyan ni sarah g ngayun. Mwuah!
Hahaha natawa ako sau 1:12, i luv SG pero hindi naman kasi talaga siya biritera aminado siya jan kaya pag high notes na may tendency talaga na “ngongo” ang dating pero she still did great naman, hello Regine yang kasabayan niya so great performance pa rin 👏👏👏
Maka-cringe ka naman 12:33. Sarah sang with the ultimate biritera but she was able to stand her ground. Teh, hindi na biritera si Sarah. Iba na ang range niya. At hindi niya kasalanan yun. Magpalit kayo ng lalamunan baka naman ikaw ang gifted.

OPM at its finest!!! Both deserve to be called OPM royalties!!! They are living proof that with hard work, dedication, great talent and a good heart malayo ang mararting niyo. To the new artists out there, learn from these two.
Yung totoo lang ha mga bes hindi kagalingan si sarah sa duet nila ni regz mas na appreciate ko pa yung duet ni regz sa mga divas specially aicelle ang galing nya. Wla na yung nga birit ni sarah parang sa ilong lumalabas.
Ako naman i think it is a superb performance. Sarah G admitted na she really have difficulties na bumirit kaya nga ang genre naman ng mga songs nya hindi naman pang barangay singing contest. Divas are good though.
Seeing them perform together was very nostalgic. Back in highschool days, I never missed an episode of Star For A Night and I have seen how Sarah grew tremendously as an artist ever since and how Regine constantly supported Sarah. Regine is a very secured and grounded woman. Same goes with Sarah. She remains humble, simple, and respectful throughout the years. She still calls Regine “Ms. Reg” with sparks in her eyes and extreme gratefulness.
Even though Sarah’s voice is not as high as it used to be and Regine’s voice has different texture when she aged, it is still undeniable that these two still delivered greatly! Sarah’s respect for Regine’s craft is very evident by how she harmoniously blends with Regine not wanting to overpower or steal the limelight from her mentor.
kaya kulang sa power or loudness ung birit ni sarah is because she is using MIXED voice not her NATURAL or chest voice. it is SMARTER way of singing. kaloka kayo. mas mahirap mag mixed. sa mga walang alam sa music and vocals mas nakakaimpress ung birit talaga.
both are mixed naman kaya lang mas head dominant ang kay miss sarah kaya less powerful. mas healthy na technique, true po yan pero ang nakaka impress ay kay regine na despite chest dominant ay may longevity, meaning ilang dekada na syang ganyan ang technique. significant lang ang deterioration nung nanganak. both are talented.
Yung feel na feel mo na ung kanta tapos may sisigaw na "we love you sarah" grrrr Sana pagsabihan naman sila. Hindi porke nagbayad sila e sisirain na nila ung tenga at moment ng ibang nagbayad.
12:23- iba ung sikat sa NAGPAPASIKAT! alamin nyong ilugar mga sarili nyo! Magbigay pugay sa tunay ba reyna ng gabi! REGINE! hindi ung makahiyaw lang....
Galing nila pareho. Medyo sumablay lang si Sarah sa 8:52, but i think its more of the timing. Regine has a flawless voice, no doubt. And Sarah is a great entertainer. Both great singers!!
I have goosebumps hearing this! Talaga namang tumatagos sa puso ang performance nila. Ang ganda ng blending at harmony. I don’t really care how the birit is done, what matters is how the song and the performance connects to the audience/listener. In this aspect is where these two are outstanding! ❤️

Yung akala mong di na kayang bumirit ng isang Sarah Geronimo but sa performance nilang to kaya pa rin nya. Di man kasing taas voice nya compare nung kabataan nya pero yung puso sa pankanta yun ang naging edge nya. Of course Regine Velasquez halimaw pa rin sa galing kaya kudos to these to exceptional artists.
My favorite performance was "Kung Kailan Pa". Boses dalaga si Ate Reg dun! I love when she goes soft and mellow! Also, I hope ma-televise yung less popular songs nya, those were her best performances vocally in my opinion. :) Sarah was really good live, too!

That's why she stopped sa mga birit coz it is unhealthy for her and any singer's voice. She knows her comfortable range and as much as possible stays within. Ang ibang mga birit queens diyan it is all falsetto. Sarah rarely does that. If she really wants to compete, she will and can still do it, but she recognizes that she doesn't need to do so anymore. She's done her best and she's contributed to the industry for more than a decade.

Regine is Regine.. haligi na yan. Pioneer sa biritan. But admit it. Sarah established herself also in the industry. She made a name for herself. Kaya nga yan ang spot na binigay sa kanya ni Regine hindi kasabay lang nung ibang diva. Kasi eventhough mas magaling sila bumirit kay Sarah, si Sarah ibang level na. She is on top na compare to them. I was there that night, sorry Popsters, kung pinanood niyong mabuti yung performance at hindi lang kayo naghihiyaw, ang panget ng performance ni sarah g dito, yes sabihin na nating umamin na sya na di na sya nakakabirit, dami nya pa ding flat notes kahit sa mababa and parang di sya comfortable. Plus kulang sa timing. Mag dancer nalang siguro sya baka mas nasa tiempo pa. Mas nagustuhan ko pa performance nung limang divas nung first day.

ReplyDeleteYung akala mong di na kayang bumirit ng isang Sarah Geronimo but sa performance nilang to kaya pa rin nya. Di man kasing taas voice nya compare nung kabataan nya pero yung puso sa pankanta yun ang naging edge nya. Of course Regine Velasquez halimaw pa rin sa galing kaya kudos to these to exceptional artists.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite performance was "Kung Kailan Pa". Boses dalaga si Ate Reg dun! I love when she goes soft and mellow! Also, I hope ma-televise yung less popular songs nya, those were her best performances vocally in my opinion. :) Sarah was really good live, too!

DeleteThat's why she stopped sa mga birit coz it is unhealthy for her and any singer's voice. She knows her comfortable range and as much as possible stays within. Ang ibang mga birit queens diyan it is all falsetto. Sarah rarely does that. If she really wants to compete, she will and can still do it, but she recognizes that she doesn't need to do so anymore. She's done her best and she's contributed to the industry for more than a decade.

Kaya nga yan ang spot na binigay sa kanya ni Regine hindi kasabay lang nung ibang diva. Kasi eventhough mas magaling sila bumirit kay Sarah, si Sarah ibang level na. She is on top na compare to them. Hindi na kailangan magpaimpress sa pataasan ng boses. She doesnt have to compete anymore kasi may napatunayan na.

DeleteI was there that night, sorry Popsters, kung pinanood niyong mabuti yung performance at hindi lang kayo naghihiyaw, ang panget ng performance ni sarah g dito, yes sabihin na nating umamin na sya na di na sya nakakabirit, dami nya pa ding flat notes kahit sa mababa and parang di sya comfortable. Plus kulang sa timing. Mag dancer nalang siguro sya baka mas nasa tiempo pa. Mas nagustuhan ko pa performance nung limang divas nung first day.
