Aftermath Misfortune

Usually when good intentions turn out to be a curse, past actions have had a key role in the disastrous effects. When Presumptuous Talent (PT) decided to make a major change in his life, he only had optimism. After all, regardless of the outcome, the change would make people notice him and perhaps give him the break that he longs for. While PT is known for his talent, creativity, and self-confidence, close family members and friends attest to his good heart and generosity in sharing his blessings.

When PT received the support he needed from his manager, family, and sponsors, he knew he was on the right track. The people who supported him had various reasons for helping, and they all wanted PT to succeed. People do not want others to fail, especially if they know they could benefit from the success of others.

The big day came and everything went well. PT was overwhelmed with the reception and he admitted he was happy. PT was confident that he could conquer the world. However, certain things remained unchanged. Barely a fortnight since the big change, PT could not shrug off his old self. His normal actions were perceived as mean. His brass attitude had not changed and thus, he was immediately reported. After the bashing, PT apologized and begged for a chance, as he was still adjusting to reconciling his change with a new attitude. It was short of saying that he wanted a clean slate.

Just as this issue was fading, crab mentality prevailed. Videos of his nasty comments emerged in social media. His initial denial ended as lies, as videos showed it indeed PT bashing an Important Asset (IA) of the network.

While IA only reacted calmly, her followers did the bashing. No amount of apology could appease the fans. Insiders and observers knew that PT has just signed the end of his career with careless comments on IA. Even if he made such remarks long before, people do not see it that way. It came from him and therefore what would stop him from his tactlessness later on, they claimed.

Immediately, the guestings coming from the network stopped. Even a top talent/host no longer wanted him to be part of his show. The lone series that took him in, dropped PT. Instead of having the best, things took a bad turn. The network has shut its doors and windows for PT. One cannot get away from lambasting IA and not pay for it seems to be the message.

Sadly, PT is learning lessons the hard way. As the entertainment industry is forgiving, PT should just be patient and wait. Time might come and TV offers might come his way again. For now, he has to take advantage of the bookings his management made before the network shut out and perhaps, he should learn humility,
