Maureen deserved the title, nakita ng mga judges ang effort at attitude nya towards work and the people around her. Ni hindi nga cya nag-fight back sa mga nambully s kanya. Kaya nga cya naging isa s fave ni Yu Tsai at Cindy.
Agree kay 8.23. Ang major disadvantage talaga ni Shikin ay kahawig nya yung nanalo noong nakaraan lang. At kung may comparison man, Tawan looks more versatile kasi Shikin is too stiff, too serious. Shikin did a solid performance all throughout the season, no doubt. But I think nag play na factor na bata at inexperienced si Maureen. Fresh ba. Lalo ngayon na nag-dadiversify na ang modeling industry at mas open na sa hindi 'standard' model na matangkad, edgy, etc. At mukhang commercial and social media appealing ang hanap nila. Parang celebrities na rin kasi ang models ngayon. But at the end of the day, kung sino man ang makakuha ng trabaho after the show. So far, parang si Layla yung umaarangkada ngayon.
After na post dito ni FP na nanalo si Maureen which was weeks ago, I expected somehow na siya na talaga pero seeing how Shikin was I had doubts.But still galing ng sources ni FP and kudos to Maureen! Whoooo! Congrats girl! Sobrang proud ako dahil she stoop up tall against depression from her mom and the bullying she got at the cycle.You deserve it boo!

Yu tsai believes in Maureen.Even Cindy likes her and the representative of storm management thinks she's refreshing .Even yung girl from the magazine,bet niya compared sa kanilang lahat ang picture ni maureen and para sa kanya,hers will sell out very well.Be proud nalang sa kanya kahit hindi na sa pagiging filipino niya pero dahil she represents someone who has been underestimated for so long and proving them real hard by quietly rising to the top and end up winning. Oo, hindi lang si Pia ang nagdecide pero aminin na malaking factor ang pagiging judge niya. Pero that's okey, many times na tayong narobbed sa AsNTM kaya it's their turn naman to feel what we felt before na sobrang deserving ng pambato natin pero iba ang nag-uwi ng title.

Shikin is too edgy for Nylon Magazine as per the Editor in Chief. They were looking for a commercial and editorial at the same time in short versatile and si Maureen yun.

Remember yung isang season in ANTM na nagkaleak din? Well yung supposedly winner eh inde na naginh winner at inulit nila ang Finale para ibahin ang result.. Pero i'm happy na Maureen won..

obviously, you didn't watch. but outside of the judges' comments, I think the pose in this photo is brilliant. The theme for the photoshoot was Motherland, and this pose, the whole lifting the skirt and the come hither look on her face is such a stark contrast to what her outfit symbolizes. We know the Filipiniana as a symbol of kahinhinan but there's nothing mahinhin in that pose.

I've watched the AsNTM5 marathon today and I can clearly say that God put people where they really belong. Maureen has been bullied all throughout the competition but not a single crass or mean language was thrown back to them. Maureen showed class and determination to prove them all wrong. And to discredit her win because of Pia's presence is absolutely unfair, to think Pinays has been a host/guest judges from previous cycles too hence the win was elusive to them at the time. Take note that Maureen has the most wins on weekly (3best +1finale) do you think the judges made a mistake? Nah!
Parang ang hilaw pa ni maureen. Imo she robbed shikin of the title. Kung potential lang eh malaki talaga chance nya, very pretty and magaling naman talaga sya. But shikin was consistent and slayed every challenge. Masyado lang nahype si maureen kasi underdog sya.
So thank u nga pala kay jennica dahil sa pagiging bitchesa nya. She started bullying maureen ayan sampal yan sayo girl.
Robbed? Do you even know the meaning of rob? It is taking away something from the owner. Who owns the title? Maureen. The judges chose her. So no one was robbed here.
The fact that the clients (Storm Model Management, Nylon Magazine, Subaru) chose Maureen means she has the potential. And add the fact that the photographer loved working with her is a plus. Take it from Nicole Linkletter, Jean Bensimon loved her during her season. If you can't inspire a photographer, then you're not doing your job.

maureen is the most versatile. shikin is too old (24). she is already a model. storm i think has the last say, they usually pick the young ones like tawan & gani.

ReplyDeleteI like maureen. Bet ko siya. I've seen & read the bios of the 3 reps of pinas even before the competition started at si maureen talaga ang nagustuhan ko. Actually, sinubaybayan ko yung show just because of her. Congrats!

ReplyDeleteBet na bet ko si maureen manalo pero to be honest, this final photo didnt speak to me. Parang naka nganga lang sya na ewan. Im sure andaming mas ok na kuha sa kanya. I wonder why they chose this particular photo. Napaka blank ng expression nya even with her mouth open.

maureen is the most versatile. shikin is too old (24). she is already a model. storm i think has the last say, they usually pick the young ones like tawan & gani.
