Pretty Disappointed

When Fervent Talent (FT) was just starting out with his network, he was immediately given challenging roles and trusted with primetime teleseryes. For someone new in the network and an unknown among viewers, FT was propelled into fame. FT played the game well, as he shone in acting and was not shy to show his abs every so often. With the active publicity machinery of the network, FT became a heartthrob. For a couple of years, his projects came one after the other.

Unfortunately, not every day is a field day. The exposure of FT became minimal. For several months, he has hardly any daily projects that can strengthen his foothold on primetime. FT would have occasional guestings, and that was it. When a good project came his way, however, FT loved the role and believed in the premise of the project. He was paired off with Pretty Actress (PA) and both were excited over their movie.

When the screening date was announced, the followers of FT were shocked as the movie was going against potential blockbusters. However, the camp of FT was optimistic, as they assumed his network would help in promoting the movie. Nothing came out of it. Other than one or two mentions of his movie in some shows of the network, no promotional marketing scheme was tailored for his movie.

Upon realizing that social media and word of mouth were not enough to motivate the public to watch their movie, feelings of disappointment started to move in the mind and heart of FT. He was very disappointed that the network did not fully support his movie. Worse, FT has invested in the movie. Given the disappointing box-office results, it was doubtful if FT were able to recoup his investment.

Well, despite his misgivings, FT will be appearing in a project in the station. To prove that he is still a significant talent, FT must make sure he gets noticed and the project will not be short-lived. Otherwise, he will just be relegated and forgotten in the backyard.
