Just Move with Caution

An open secret behind the scenes is the long-term relationship between Famous Personality (FP) and Low-Profile Insider (LI). While FP is always in front of an audience, LI moves behind the scenes, making critical decisions for the day-to-day operations of their company. Hardly would LI make a public appearance unless there was an important reason.

However, even if they were a happy couple, FP seems to be cozying up with a newbie. While the long-term relationship seems to be shaky, the two are cordial as they move within the same circles, anyway. While things between the two seem to be okay, some co-workers are feeling uneasy with a recent development. FP has grown fond of Newbie Hiree (NH), whom older employees feel is getting too pushy and feeling more powerful than her mentor.

NH is allegedly bypassing a Seasoned Employee (SE) by not consulting with the team on people to feature in their programs. SE feels hopeless as NH is too close to FP. Before the situation gets out of hand, SE approached LI for advice and to report what is happening in their show. As LI holds power in the production, she seemed to be the most logical choice. However, LI refused to say anything and did not want to be part of the tension in the tension.

SE then approached Another Executive (AE). However, AE told SE to be cautious. Having established a name in the industry, FP does not want to be told what to do. Thus, the relationship of the network and FP is quite sensitive. At one point, FP has actually expressed that she wanted to leave. With FP gone, the network would lose a pillar, and thus, dealing with FP has to be done with extreme thoughtfulness. Therefore, to deal with NH would require much sensitivity, as confronting her might result in her telling FP. Consequently, FP might react in the least positive way.

Of course, the network would hang on to FP as much as it could, as she is the only one who can actually beat a rival show.
