I think Psych grads have the edge of experience in dealing with people that some pre-meds don't have...
1:30 med school girl here so far mas okay pa din premed ang medtech kasi sa med hindi naman agad clinical mas lamang na foundation of med like biochemistry, pathology at micro ang first two years na mas lamang rmts dun
Most of my med friends who excel in clinicals and clerkship are former nurses. Kabisado na nila halos lahat ng ways to attend to the patient. And they know how to integrate the care.
I'm a doctor. Yes, nursing is the best pre-med course. But it does not necessarily mean the best doctors are the ones who did nursing in college.
Ok naman din ang Psych. It's relatively easier then the other pre-med courses. You get higher grades so you have a higher chance of getting into a good med school.
It takes time, hard work and perseverance para ma earn nya ang degree nya.
I'm 35 years old and just finished my post-baccalaureate (BS Psych ) degree in a state university last year. They credited 73 units from my 4 year degree course in the Philippines.Turning 36 and taking my masters this coming Fall.- I feel I am sharper and smarter now that I am older. So age is immaterial if you want to pursue something.
true, meron cut-off for freshmen sa medschool, kasi you will count the years in studying med proper which is 4yrs (kung wala ka bagsak) or so (kung meron ka bagsak) plus 1ys internship plus review for the board exam and 3-5yrs residency training. IF Jodi is 33yrs old she will be forty-ish by the time she become a full pledge licensed doctor.
Kudos to her for trying to finish school. For me, Med Tech is the best pre med course, second si PT
Paano First sem lang pala bumigay nag give up na after sapag aaral dahil di kinaya.
So BRAVO Jodi.. Isa kang magandang halimbawa
Nasobrahan yung kapayatan na niya. Not healthy looking at mas maganda yung itsura niya noong may konting laman pa siya.
Delete12.41 can't you comprehend? 'En route to her dreams of becoming a doctor'. Kuda kasi agad
DeleteTrue, super thin niya.
Delete12:41am, BS Psychology as "pre-Med" course niya then she will take up Med rin after.
But goodluck jodi!
I think Psych grads have the edge of experience in dealing with people that some pre-meds don't have...
Deletegoodluck to that.. ilang taon na cya kapag naging doctor cya? baka cya na ang may kailangan ng dr.

ReplyDeleteAnyare sa b.s. Bio nya? Nag enrol sya noong BCWMH pa.
ReplyDeleteBaka hindi niya siguro natapos since super busy siya sa anak niya and tapings nung time na yon 12:42am
DeleteHindi ka yata nag-college... yung Bio subjects niya can be credited towards her Psychology degree. Next time, medyo mag-isip muna bago mag-comment ha?
It takes time, hard work and perseverance para ma earn nya ang degree nya.
DeleteBio ako baks d naman cya "mahirap" talaga. O e d ako na hambog! Pero trot..it's a fun course kase :)
DeleteAng ganda ng uniform!
ReplyDeleteSchool nya??
No one is too old to achieve his/her dream.
Delete2:43 Seriously?! It's never too late to go back to school and fulfill your dreams
DeleteLinya na mga walang pangarap sa buhay. Gah, wonder how much net worth mo kung ganyan ka magisip

DeleteYes for some medical school there is an age requirement..from my school 30 y/0 is the age limit for first year medicine proper enrollees..

ReplyDeleteAng dry niya and sobrang payat!

ReplyDeleteNag-shift siya ng course from BS Bio to Psych. Home study program kasi.
ReplyDeleteGoodluck, Jodi
