I watched Eva Noblezada perform Kim in Broadway, in one of their previews, a month ago - I can say she is good but vocally-wise and intensity, she fall way behind Lea. Si JonJon Briones (Engineer) with his superb performance, ang nagdala ng show... Lea won in both Laurence Olivier (West End) and Tony (Broadway) awards for the same category.
Oo naman, she will never be "the" Lea Salonga kasi she has a name for herself... building a name for herself. I pity you. Sobrang makapanliit ng taong nagpapakahirap to be known in here field pero here you are looking at her like she won't make it. Come on, even Lea Salonga is just a Lea Salonga before she became "the"Lea Salonga you now knew.
1:55 True ka dyan bes. In my book, she is the finest singer from the Phil. I saw her on Broadway, both in Miss Saigon & twice in Les Miz. Kaya lang napansin ko ang sobrang yabang nya in everything she says & posts in socmed. Para sya lang ang authority.
Eva should be happy by now for being nominated in a category with some of Broadway's legendary actresses, specifically front-runner Bette Midler (revival of "Hello Dolly!") and two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone (Evita, original London production of Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, Gypsy). Midler will win the Best Leading Actress in a Musical, no doubt.
Bring home the bacon Eva. Kahit crispy pata pa yan
ReplyDeletewell-deserved. i have nothing else to say.
DeleteBring home the bacon and cook yourself.Americana nman yan.
DeleteI hope she wins. I saw both version in Manila (Lea) and NY (Eva). I can really say Lea is far better acting and vocal wise.
DeleteHindi ako Lea fan but I just want to be fair. Lea is really extra ordinary
Wish ko manalo sya para naman mabawasan yun hangin sa ulo ng pambansang tita primadonna
ReplyDeleteHahaha naloka me sa comment mo baks lol

DeleteI think Lea never begrudges anyone their success. Kayo lang lagi nagsasabi niyan just because you don't like her outspoken views.
DeleteWeeh di nnga ?She is way better than Lea. Lea's voice is too thin, tends to be boring. Eva has a lot of edges can make birit straight fr the ground.
Delete6:01 Agree. All out ang support nya sa theater people dito man sa pinas o sa abroad.
DeleteThough being tagged as next Lea Salonga, she's now making a name for herself. Hope she wins.
ReplyDeletecongrats eva! well-deserved.
ReplyDeleteShe will NEVER EVER be like THE LEA SALONGA, asa kp teh. Nag iisa lng ang THE LEA SALONGA .
ReplyDeleteHey talangka .. can u just be happy for wat others have achieved! Kkaloka! Hope u win Ms. Eva😊
DeleteAno baaa. Even Lea supports her. Tama na kasi comparison.

ReplyDeleteIts because THE LEA SALONGA siya and her name alone is synonymous to authority.
Delete4:07 Synonymous to authority to what? Kasing yabang ka na nya teh. I feel like throwing up.
DeleteCongrats Eva. The nomination is good, but to win is best. Good Luck!! I will watch the telecast & will be rooting for you.
