When Proud Personality (PP) was included in the cast of a project, the audiences expected an upbeat and exciting performance. After all, PP has always been passionate for his craft and would definitely want everything to be perfect in all aspects of his gig. That passion runs in his family. However, his haughty attitude is far different from what his other relations have shown in the industry. Although perfectionists in their respective fields, they have remained humble despite their achievements.
Unfortunately, the attitude of PP has reached the borders of arrogance and has rubbed his co-workers the wrong way. While they had expected PP to be nice to them, all they had experienced was arrogance and a pair of deaf ears. Whenever the production would raise suggestions to improve his performance, PP shuts off. It seems that he does not want to listen to constructive criticism and other points for review. Thus, he makes it a point to do what he thinks is the right action.
Such independent attitude does not work well in a profession where participants are expected to listen to proposals and follow advice. People in the production know better and their advice is meant to improve not just PP, but also the rest of the team. The attitude of PP is that he thinks too much of himself to the point that he projects himself as someone who knows much and therefore, does not need any advice.
This lack of humility has turned off many of the staff as well as some followers. While PP may have the talent, this egotism has affected the way he is perceived by others. Thus, he is labeled as someone who is difficult to work with, and no one wants to be chummy with him on the set beyond the roles they are expected to play in the project.
‘There's nothing to be said for being famous. It's a pain. You can't be rude to people - it's inexcusable not to be nice.’ - Terry Wogan
