I feel sad for the dog but the owner should have rented a van or make arrangement for transport of the dog... if inside the bus, there are some people who are allergic to the dog's hair. So it is the fault of the owner. If they say no money for the transport, why are they having a shih tzu dog that is expensive and high maintenance. Pa-cute lang minsan ung iba... coz kung dog lover yan nde na papayag yan at mag-iisip pa ng ibang ways to transport the dog or just don't bring the dog.
The owner should have refused and found another type of transportation. Don't blame it all on the bus company. They are not required to transport animals. I have a shih tzu too and I don't even put her in a cage.

Nung based pa ako sa city, there were times when I have to bring my cat with me and some buses do not allow cats inside the bus (pero merong napapakiusapan) so had no choice but to travel na nasa cargo cat ko. Most times he was trying to escape and at some point napipilitan silang ibalik sa loob ng bus yung cat kesa makawala habang umaandar yung bus. Usually pag pets naman di sila sanay dumumi sa ibang lugar so hindi issue ang amoy. Pati behavior manageable pag pets. I know because I've experienced this many times. Sana nga mabago yan para di hassle sa other commuters na pet lovers. Irequire na lang nila na may diaper yung pet or something.
May mga allergic sa cat at dog so be considerate also for the other passenger and look for alternative transport na you won't inconvenient other passengers as well as your pet.
