Grabeng pahirap at todo explanation sa US embassy ng kumuha ako ng bagong visa for US. Ang babata ng mga pickpockets and holdapers
Ah hello bat kasi d nagresearch bago pumunta. Always research and plan vacation. Paris is very well known for that. Sa baguio nga ganun din so anywhere u go u have to blend in.
Sad to say, pandurukot ang mabilisan nilang ikinabubuhay.
Even if you do all the research in the world, and how much aware you are of pickpockets and robbers, you can never be prepared enough. Mangyayari at mangyayari talaga ang mga ganyan. Esp now sa crisis sa buong mundo, and how some people have become "halang ang bituka."
2:36 wow te ha, you make it so obvious that you don't travel at all. Maybe 12:11 is a US citizen on vacation with a US passport. Syempre kung nawala sa Paris, she has to go to the US embassy to get another one issued so she can go home.
236am ang slow, if you lost a passport and you have a US visa stamped on it, syempre mag-apply ka ng bagong visa, magpapaliwanag ka ng todo at swerte ka kung mabigyan ka ng panibago. Malamang kung nakakuha ng French or Schengen visa, may US visa altho it is not always true sa lahat. Gets?
Hello, research will not do you any good. Ang kailangan lang, ingat. But Sam, being an American thinks he is invincible/invisible thus immune from such things...,.
You can never be prepared for such thing, kailangan lang wag masyadong trusting.
We also had a not so nice experience in paris. We took the metro and when we're about to get off the train, a big black guy blocked our way, right infront of the exit door. He was pretending that he dropped something but we just ignored him and we got off using the other door. Then before the train leaves, while he was standing in the door, he intentionally showed us some watches, bracelets with a naughty smile. But still, Paris is a beautiful city and I will definitely come back if I have the budget again, but i wont take the metro, it's dangerous
In just a snap mananakawan ka kapag iniwan mong unattended ang gamit mo. Mabibilis daw kamay ng mga kawatan dun. Scary!
Not only in Paris but in other cities in Europe, too. Kaya if you go to a travel forum, frequent travellers often warn about that and offer tips and suggestions. I nearly got victimized by a pickpocket in Lisbon in one of their old trams. Buti nahuli ko agad. Plus my family and I were forewarned kaya we took plenty of precautions. Pero namuntikan pa. Kaya laging listo lang. I'm sure its the same everywhere you go.
totoo yan... was in paris pero 15 years ago pa yun. was with a tour group kaya masaya. did not like paris at all. dirty & smelly. eiffel tower lang maganda.
You sound like Trump. Have you even been to Paris to know what is was like before? I have! plenty of thieves and robbers then and now just like in most big cities around the world.
5.12 you are not local to europe, surely..3.07 is right, because of immigrants, paris and other european cities are not the same cities as they were two decades ago.
ehem 5:12, I'm 3:07 and yes I've been to Paris way back in 1996 and I can say without a doubt that you could just leave your things outside a freakin' cafe. Mind you, Paris back then was clean and very much safe for tourists.
3:07's experience 20 years ago doesn't make up much how it was safe that time. Don't take your experience as an absolute one for people to say it was safe that time. Even that time nagkalat din sila. I don't care it was '96 your experience don't make up that much about other people's experience
uso din human trafficking jan, most of the time babae kinukuha, un movie na "Taken", mejo totoo un kse mrmi nwwlng female tourists jan sa Paris. The place is beautiful pero dpat either may relative ka or ur travelling wd a companion pag pupunta ka jan
First of all, you don't take the train out of CDG airport to Paris center, Sam. Take the taxi or the express bus. Trains from airports are magnets for thieves not only in France, except Japan of course.
baka naman he wants to experience it for himself? parang kapag foreigners na pumupunta dito sa pinas, gusto nila magjeep kasi gusto nila maexperience. it's not about the type of transportation you take, it's about the people.
Yung mga refugees years ago..sila nanghold-up sa kuya ko from work at sa kabarkada nya. Every country mostly mga refugees ang mga magnanakaw but here in europe talaga gypsies talaga or romanians magnanakaw.
totoo yan. sila yang mga nagtitinda peke designer bags na bangketa style. malamang naman ang pickpockets/snatchers from east europeans like here in Scandinavia. lost my old phones 2 times. i was able to trace, 1. from poland 2. iphone 6-lithuania.
I'm sorry but over generalizing them is wrong. Some of those are gypsies because that's the way of their lives, stealing. Calling them pampagulo is quite unfair.
gypsies=romanians..most of them are notorious in stealing, cars, cellphones, money and robbed the house. Mostly black refugees sila mga nagtitinda sa bangketa and more on trabaho sila kahit maliit ang kita. #realtalk
Maraming manloloko don at marami ding nagpapaloko. Andon kami few years ago at puntahan sana namin ang Louvre Museum pero dahil first time namin mali napuntahan namin sa dami ng halos pare pareho bldg. Inabot sa akin isang ring at napulot daw nya mainit init pa nga dahil summer don that time. I checked the ring may nakalagay na 18k pero white gold sya and thinking na tynay i gave her 10 euro.so iningatan ko ung ring for a year at nong ipinauri ko sa pinas when i went home for a vacay it turned out na peke pala natubog lang sa 18k ung ring. Ala lang. Pero malaki pala ung 10euro na don.
I was just there last month with my mom. SAME PLACE too. My mom and I were followed by 3 men and a girl while looking for our train. We were talking in tagalog kaya di nila kami na intindihan so i told my to run in the count of threee and they also started running after us. Scary! PARIS IS NOT SAFE ANYMORE. Full of terrorists and VERY sketchy people. REALLY REALLY GHETTO!
I agree. Paris was not like that before. It's getting worst each year to the point that it's not worth going there anymore. Lol these other commenters above are so sad... Obviously they haven't been anywhere outside Philippines that they hate on people who tell their own experiences
7:30 mayabang much? It's always been like that. Mas binabalita lang kasi ngayon. At yes dumarami din sila pero don't overstate na paris was "so safe" before when it wasn't. And your experiences don't make up much about other people's experience. You sound like you were just born yesterday. Sad pala kami. Others have been there for a long time but didn't experience that, other have as well. Ganun lang yun
We were there 2 yrs ago. My hubby lost his camera bag and all his photography gadgets in it. Good thing his wallet was with me and our passports were returned.
Omg! Buti na lang di ngyari samin yan. Hinatid kami ng friend namin from germany to paris. Pero may bad experience din kami jan when we are going back to the hotel di nila alam ung hotel namin gusto nila address buti na lang nagpipicture picture ako sa mga signs at un ang pinakita namin we were like 15 mins away from eiffel.
Actually totoo yan. No amount of precaution can preveny thieves. Kunwari naka-slashproof bag ka, mas curious pa sila kasi mas nagmumukhang valuables yung laman.
Actually even worse if they got your passport.. how are you going to carry on with your holiday knowing you lost your passport? Your vacay is ruined already. Plus, you have to book an emergency appointment with the embassy but you have to report it to the police station first before they can see you. Sometimes these scums really target your passports especially if west europe, us, canada, oz, etc because gangs sell them for like 5k euro
Agree. the only mesmerizing part is the tourist area if you drive down 30-40 mins away from the main city -- you will see the depressed area and scary side of it. I still love London and Sydney -- feels more safer and organized :)
Totoo. I was very disappointed when i went there. Public transpo not maintained properly. Dami pang namamalimos. Disappointed also with it being a fashion capital daw. Not fashionable imho. Daig sila ng mga taga Milan. Kahit ordinary people fashionable talaga.
Di ako nagandahan sa eiffel!!! Para lang siyang brown or rust colored steel structure. Maganda lang siya sa malayo. Mas maganda pa leaning tower of pisa. Ganda ng marble!
Akala ko ako lang ang nakaalala ng Quiapo when I was in Paris. I agree 8:50. Train from CDG to City centre is okay, but if you're changing trains hindi na maganda tsaka not tourist friendly if you're not backpacking. Tapos yung subway pa parang Final destination ang peg.
1:20 Do you need to be a resident of Paris to pull off a vlog about the city? And he is Half-French by the way.
Nag arrange kami ng transport from CDG to our hotel. We used the train extensively during our stay. Pero sinunod namin advice ng officemates, ang handbag in front (wag signature as much as possible) , don't carry too much cash, safe-keep Ang passport, at speak in our language daw.
So just like in any place, ingat ingat lang din. Not sure kasi tayo if local or kapwa turista yong mga nanggugulang.
Pumunta nlng kau sa Bohol mag river cruise while watching fireflies mas romantic pa. :)
So sorry about his bad experience. Paris is notorious for thieves and snatchers. A lot of them are black. You'll see most of them hanging around Sacre coeur and Eiffel tower. I had the same experience on my first trip to Paris 13 years ago. It happened on my last day in Paris and the 4th day of my European trip. My friend and I were at a restaurant, my purse was just right next to me. When we're going to pay the bill, my purse was open and wallet was gone! Not sure what exactly happened but it was very traumatic. I still have 12 more days to go but I got no money to spend. Good thing I left my passport in my hotel room. I wanted to go back to California but my friend was so kind to let her use her card. Lessons learned: don't be too comfortable, be vigilant of your surroundings and make sure your purse is either in front of you or on your lap.
A lot of them are black? You know all of them? A lot of pickpockets are also Romanian gypsies. Known yan all over Europe. Just because a black person pick pocketed you doesn't mean a lot of them are black.
3:11 I didn't say all of them. I said a lot of them are black. And I never said a black person pick pocketed me. What's so judgmental about it? Your comprehension was wrong. And like I said, I'm talking from my own experience and observation. It's my story to tell, not yours.
There are more gypsy thieves than black thieves. The blacks do more work selling stuff on the streets. But the gypsies, their main source of income is really pickpocketing.
Nope not the refugees. Moslem people rarely do this because it's a big no-no sa Muslim faith. In Muslim countries, you can leave your bag in public and it would still be there when you go back.
Always been the case in cities here in Europe. Kami naman sa Italy, sa Pisa. Good thing my husband was vigilant kasi 3 young girls, yung isa may placard for tour of Pisa trying to distract us. Pero na-gets kaagad ni hubby at itinaboy sila. Maski ako nagulat pero good thing na rin or else nabiktima din kami ng pickpockets.
Parang may mali sa kuwento ni Sam. So 3 men TRIED to rob him. They took his passport thinking it was his wallet -- but when they realized it wasn't his wallet, they returned the passport??? Bags? Jewelry? Anything at all?
PICKPOCKETS ang nambiktima sa kanya. So akala siiguro wallet yung passport niya. When they realized it. Binalik nila.
He wasn't mugged. Nadukutan lang. And all of this happened sa train station. So i doubt na kukunin nila lahat ng gamit ni Sam na parang holdapper sa lugar na maraming tao. Haha.
Yeah! I have to say this, yhe place where i am now is a muslim country, but never have i experienced n may nandukot or ngsnatch ng bag ko, we can walk in the street kahit s gabi n walang inaalala n holdaper. Kung meron man, very isolated case lang.
Paris is beautiful. It will always be the City of love regardless of how it has become. A lot of filthy areas such as the train stations, airports na mukhang hindi na pressure wash for decades! Ang dami din pakalat kalat na nagti take advantage sa tourists, pero kahit ganun, it's still the same old Paris sa puso mo lalo if you are there with your partner. Just be a smart traveler. Act like you've been there. Be vigilant if you tour alone though it's always better to go on group tours. Your tour leader would often remind you to be mindful of thieves. Don't get discourage. Just be well informed. Don't engage in a conversation with those ladies with folders. A simple no thank you is enough. Don't make eye contact. There are still good people out there but it never hurts to think of yourself first. There are tours outside of Paris that is 20-30 mins away from the City. Take the opportunity. The Eiffel Tower is only icing on the cake that you have to see in the daytime and when the lights are on. Have no fear. Wear a coat or jacket with invisible inside pockets. You can even DIY it yourself. Whatever makes you feel extra safe so you can enjoy your vacation. Paris will always be a dream place to visit especially for lovers. Pag land mo palang sa lupa ng Paris, it makes your heart flutter! 😄
May paalala Nman Sa Mga subway tungkol Sa Mga pick pockets you just have to be extra careful. Lhat Nman ng place may magnanakaw just be aware and Hnd Nman Mga French people ang gumagwA kundi Mga stranger French goverment are very nice they accept people and they are willing to help you for medical expenses Even though you don't have working visa lhat ng bansa may corrupt nagkataon Lang n Sa France di mo masyadong ramdam because you can have lots of benefits from goverment
I had the same experience sa Sacré-Cœur. Nireport ko sa police station which is like 2 blocks away. I bet its the same people who robbed Sam.
Ano bang paki mo? At kasama niya gf niya at si kim jones. Huwag nang gawan ng isyu. Magtweet may mema, di magtweet mema pa din. Pwede ba
People always says di safe sa manila madaming snatchers and etc., not realizing na sa mga European countries specially paris naglipana din. be vigilant!
Not only sa Paris. Marami rin parts sa Italy na ganyan. Anyone looking to tour Europe and make use of public transpo, secure well your wallet at passport.
Not surprising. Paris is one of the worst sa robberies. Just beause it's a famous city, it doesn't mean na safe sya. Daming nabiktima jan. Parang Quiapo lng ang peg.
The massive entries of refugees from North African Countries and Syria in Europe burglars and petty crimes like robberies are very rampant. Its happening everyday in all parts of Western Europe. So when anyone of you might have the idea or planning to get a vacation in Europe please make sure of your safety or just spend your money travelling in our native PHilippines or in our neighboring countries..
Kuya dapat inde ka nagtrain from airport papunta sa airport lalo na pag first time mo at may dala ka gamit. Been there, done that. Usually take a cab going to hotel in Paris. Please dont open your maps inside the metro or outside metro they would know na tourist ka. Always go on groups. Sobrang wag naparanoid nako ever since may lasing na bumulong sa tenga ko sa metro! huhu... pero safe sa umaga and paris is still beautiful kahit may ganyan. I miss paris na.. :(
Oh my! Grabe na tlga sa paris. This is so sad 😭

ReplyDeleteManloloko ka rin for accepting a ring na hindi naman sa yo. Kaloka.
DeleteHay naku, my daughter was robbed in the train...sad lang ang ganda pa naman ng eiffel
ReplyDeleteEasy target kasi mga tourista, dapat naguber na lang sya or taxi lalo na kung madami syang dala at first time sa bansa.
ReplyDeleteI was just there last month with my mom.
ReplyDelete"Anymore"? Marami na yan dati pa.
Delete5:20 haha natatawa ako sa ganyang comments, like they were born yesterday.
DeleteOh honey, it's always been like that in Europe. Ever heard of gypsies?
DeleteI agree. Paris was not like that before. It's getting worst each year to the point that it's not worth going there anymore. Lol these other commenters above are so sad... Obviously they haven't been anywhere outside Philippines that they hate on people who tell their own experiences
Delete7:30 mayabang much? It's always been like that. Mas binabalita lang kasi ngayon. At yes dumarami din sila pero don't overstate na paris was "so safe" before when it wasn't. And your experiences don't make up much about other people's experience. You sound like you were just born yesterday. Sad pala kami. Others have been there for a long time but didn't experience that, other have as well. Ganun lang yun
DeleteWe were there 2 yrs ago. My hubby lost his camera bag and all his photography gadgets in it. Good thing his wallet was with me and our passports were returned.
Deleteyes ,check his tweet
DeleteOmg!
DeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletedapat ganito, dapat ganun. dapat dapat dapat. kahit ano pa sasakyan jan, kung type ka talaga i-rob, gagawin kahit anong paraan.
ReplyDeleteActually totoo yan. No amount of precaution can preveny thieves.
ReplyDeleteActually even worse if they got your passport.. how are you going to carry on with your holiday knowing you lost your passport? Your vacay is ruined already. Plus, you have to book an emergency appointment with the embassy but you have to report it to the police station first before they can see you. Sometimes these scums really target your passports especially if west europe, us, canada, oz, etc because gangs sell them for like 5k euro
ReplyDeleteI like paris but it could really be crappy...the city itself smells like the quiapo underpass, disgusting and very disappointing
ReplyDeleteAgree. the only mesmerizing part is the tourist area if you drive down 30-40 mins away from the main city -- you will see the depressed area and scary side of it.
DeleteI still love London and Sydney -- feels more safer and organized :)
Itong si 8:50, hlatang Quiapo lang talaga narating.
DeleteTotoo. I was very disappointed when i went there. Public transpo not maintained properly. Dami pang namamalimos. Disappointed also with it being a fashion capital daw. Not fashionable imho. Daig sila ng mga taga Milan. Kahit ordinary people fashionable talaga.
DeleteDi ako nagandahan sa eiffel!!! Para lang siyang brown or rust colored steel structure. Maganda lang siya sa malayo. Mas maganda pa leaning tower of pisa.
Delete@10:24 fyi i was just in paris last week. And yes i've been to quiapo multiple times....
DeleteDami nyong kuda! Walang sinabi yang Paris nyo dito sa Kalentong!
Delete10:53 - MILAN IS THE FASHION CAPITAL OF THE WORLD, NOT PARIS.
DeleteAkala ko ako lang ang nakaalala ng Quiapo when I was in Paris. I agree 8:50. Train from CDG to City centre is okay, but if you're changing trains hindi na maganda tsaka not tourist friendly if you're not backpacking. Tapos yung subway pa parang Final destination ang peg.
Deletehahahha anon 6:15 tawa much ako sayo! Kalentong for the win!
DeleteHuwag pahahalatang bagong salta. Act like you know the place dapat.
ReplyDeletekorek ateng. yan ang pinaka-magandang disguise at the same time dapat vigilant para sure na hindi manakawan :)
DeleteParis is getting scary. Dami tlg pickpockets dyan punta ka Eiffel Tower and other attraction nagkalat sila pati sa mga train stations.
ReplyDeletehintayin ko vlog ni Erwann(how not to be a victim of thieves in Paris)
ReplyDeleteSuper like
DeleteTaga-Paris ba sila?
Go bash niyo ako.
Deletehahaha! da best!
Delete1:20 Do you need to be a resident of Paris to pull off a vlog about the city? And he is Half-French by the way.
Delete@2:53
DeleteThat's not what i meant. FRANCE is big. So speaking french does not necessarily mean na taga-Paris ka.
-Anon 1:20
He has been there alot of times and fluent siya sa french. Huwag mema
Delete12:08
Nag arrange kami ng transport from CDG to our hotel. We used the train extensively during our stay.
ReplyDeletePero sinunod namin advice ng officemates, ang handbag in front (wag signature as much as possible) , don't carry too much cash, safe-keep Ang passport, at speak in our language daw.
Thank God nothing unfortunate happened to us when we were in Paris! I was also very vigilant about my surroundings kasi many snatchers..
So just like in any place, ingat ingat lang din. Not sure kasi tayo if local or kapwa turista yong mga nanggugulang.
ReplyDeleteKorek..
Pumunta nlng kau sa Bohol mag river cruise while watching fireflies mas romantic pa. :)
ReplyDeleteOy maganda kaya lalo pag gabi, lakas maka romantic feeling tapos samahan mo pa ng pormang pang-ginaw. Try mo :))
DeleteIt's Eiffel Tower, 12:27. Paris is not for everyone. If you're into arts, history and culture, it's the place to visit. Most likely it's not for you.
DeleteA bad day in Paris is still better than a good day anywhere else! 12:27
DeleteTrue, I am one of those not impressed by Eiffel. And the city stinks.
DeleteSo sorry about his bad experience.
ReplyDeleteA lot of them are black? You know all of them? A lot of pickpockets are also Romanian gypsies. Known yan all over Europe. Just because a black person pick pocketed you doesn't mean a lot of them are black.
DeleteStill as bad as in Pinas though.
Delete3:11 I'm talking from my observation and what I experienced, not yours.
Masyadong mapanghusga
Delete3:11 I didn't say all of them. I said a lot of them are black. And I never said a black person pick pocketed me. What's so judgmental about it? Your comprehension was wrong. And like I said, I'm talking from my own experience and observation. It's my story to tell, not yours.
DeleteThere are more gypsy thieves than black thieves. The blacks do more work selling stuff on the streets. But the gypsies, their main source of income is really pickpocketing.
DeleteOf course!Refugee!Take some more Refugee!!
ReplyDeleteKung syrian refugees ang tinutukoy mo. Hindi sila. They're Romanians/Gypsies.
DeleteNope not the refugees. Moslem people rarely do this because it's a big no-no sa Muslim faith. In Muslim countries, you can leave your bag in public and it would still be there when you go back.
Ordinary people in Paris look so disappointing. Not what you expect.
DeleteParis needs Tatay Digong.
Ewww.
DeleteReally? I see no changes here yet!
Delete@2:49 True, same old palpak.
DeleteTatay digong? Talaga lang ha. Lakas ah.
DeleteAlways been the case in cities here in Europe. Kami naman sa Italy, sa Pisa. Good thing my husband was vigilant kasi 3 young girls, yung isa may placard for tour of Pisa trying to distract us.
ReplyDeletePublicity stunt yun
DeleteParang may mali sa kuwento ni Sam. So 3 men TRIED to rob him. They took his passport thinking it was his wallet -- but when they realized it wasn't his wallet, they returned the passport??? Bags? Jewelry? Anything at all?
ReplyDeletePICKPOCKETS ang nambiktima sa kanya. So akala siiguro wallet yung passport niya. When they realized it. Binalik nila.
DeleteHe wasn't mugged. Nadukutan lang. And all of this happened sa train station. So i doubt na kukunin nila lahat ng gamit ni Sam na parang holdapper sa lugar na maraming tao. Haha.
DeleteYeah! I have to say this, yhe place where i am now is a muslim country, but never have i experienced n may nandukot or ngsnatch ng bag ko, we can walk in the street kahit s gabi n walang inaalala n holdaper. Kung meron man, very isolated case lang.
DeleteParis is beautiful. 😄
ReplyDeleteMay paalala Nman Sa Mga subway tungkol Sa Mga pick pockets you just have to be extra careful.
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience sa Sacré-Cœur. Nireport ko sa police station which is like 2 blocks away. I bet its the same people who robbed Sam.
ReplyDeleteSam milby making up stories para mapagusapan na asa france sya now
Ano bang paki mo? At kasama niya gf niya at si kim jones. Huwag nang gawan ng isyu. Magtweet may mema, di magtweet mema pa din. Pwede ba
DeletePARIS IS NOT THE SAME ANYMORE. SO SAD
ReplyDeletePeople always says di safe sa manila madaming snatchers and etc., not realizing na sa mga European countries specially paris naglipana din. be vigilant!
ReplyDeleteNot only sa Paris. Marami rin parts sa Italy na ganyan. Anyone looking to tour Europe and make use of public transpo, secure well your wallet at passport.
ReplyDeleteNot surprising. Paris is one of the worst sa robberies. Just beause it's a famous city, it doesn't mean na safe sya. Daming nabiktima jan. Parang Quiapo lng ang peg.
ReplyDeleteThe massive entries of refugees from North African Countries and Syria in Europe burglars and petty crimes like robberies are very rampant. Its happening everyday in all parts of Western Europe.
ReplyDeleteSo when anyone of you might have the idea or planning to get a vacation in Europe please make sure of your safety or just spend your money travelling in our native PHilippines or in our neighboring countries..
