  1. What a troll! So just because Quen is a celebrity and doesn't live here in the US, he shouldn't be concerned for the plight of others and the injustice that is going on with the world? Tanga much! Everyone should be concerned and raise awareness to what's going on here. It is unprecedented. It is an injustice. If ppl think they're only going for the Muslims, think again Trump sheeple!

    3. if enrique is as outspoken to what is happening in the philippines, there is no problem, but doesn't he realize that he is judging another while he has not made any comments/noise about the ejk in his own country?

      Delete
    4. He is dumb . He should bother about the Philippines and not the U.S. And before he even says something about Trump , he should also do his research. Every country has the right to protect its borders and people who live in that country had the right to live in peace and to feel safe and secure. Screening is important. The comment comes from
Somebody who was escorted in Heathtow right?

    6. Anon 2:39, are you even aware that the people stopped at the airports have the legal papers? Green card holders included. They have been screened and a background check was done prior to them getting their papers. The roll out was a mess. If the administration wanted a sricter screening process, they could have done it to those who are still in the process of applying. Imagine if you're the one holding a green card and went out of the country to visit your relatives. How would you feel if all of a sudden you can't enter anymore? Even if it's for 90 days. What will happen to your job, or your family back in the US?

DT is not cleaning up the U.S. but creating chaos that may be fixed easily. The basher should stop watching FOX news so she or he will be well informed on what's really happening across the U.S.

    1. Know the difference between legal and illegal immigrant. I have friends in the US who are not bothered by this. Yes, they are immigrants but they are legal immigrants.

      Delete
    2. I live in the UK but I am not bothered by illegal immigrants and refugees for as long as they don't create chaos. At the end of the day, all of us want to survive and provide for our families. Sometimes we cannot choose the circumstances we are in, just like the people in Syria. A little compassion and probably a helping hand will somehow ease the situation.

      Delete
    3. To Anon 1228AM, what does it matter if legal or illegal? I am a LEGAL immigrant here in the US and I am bothered by this travel ban. Remember, he mentioned Philippines during his campaign because of the terrorist group Abu Sayaf. He can easily decide to ban Filipinos as well. Is that fair? To deem our countrymen as terrorists unless proven otherwise? I don't know if you have even gone through the process of getting a US visa. Hindi madali and no guarantees na ma approve. It takes at least 1-2 years before ma approve. Imagine how painful it is na akala mo makakatakas ka na tapos pababalikin ka lang bigla? Konting empathy din.

      Delete
    4. There are legal immigrants who are being prevented from reentering the US. Knowing how racist Trump is, I wouldn't be surprised if even returning Filipino greencard holders would be put on hold. Remember he made a sweeping commentary of thr Philippines being terrorist and animals when he was just campaigning.

      Delete
    5. Know the difference between a citizen , legal immigrant or permanent resident and illegal immigrant. Learn what it means to assimilate and remember why people immigrated to this country and the difference between seeking a better life and attacking a country and its people who offered refuge to migrants.

    3. Ang greedy ni ate. Porket obamacare covers refugees and citizen on welfare it does not mean tax paying citizen, like herself, wouldn't get covered its like saving for your medical needs if ever so happen you get an accident or you get cancer or whatever because nobody knows what will happen tomorrow or next year but its good if you are ready if in case something drastic happens to you or your family.

      Delete
    4. Nope . That is not being greedy. It is about learning how to work to live and not being self entitled to benefits. Obamacare has bankrupted a lot of states. Honest and hardworking immigrants and citizens feel like ate that you ignoramus 's are bashing. I work , I contributed and I chose to be a full time employee to get insurance and other benefits. Other people chose not to work , chose not to be employed in a benefitted position to accommodate their own lifestyle or personal needs or simply did not want to pay their share of costs. Therefore that is a matter of personal choice. They made their choices they have to be responsible for it. Pag maka kuda Kayojsn . btw you people who are calling them selfish, life is hard here and we work hard for everything that we got. There is something called financial responsibility.

      Delete
    5. 1:10 wow talaga, are you sure obama care sinasabi mo, can you e explain more nga kase pagkakaalam ko lang sa obama care is affordable health insurance pero ang hirap ma approve pag may maliit kang sweldo. Pag citizen ka at nagpnta ka ng hospital no insurance sendan ka ng bill, pag illegal ka no worries , thank you na lang.. share mo nga knowledge mo sa obama care baka matulungan mo ko

    3. I have to agree with Anon 1:30; may pros and cons ang EO ni Trump about sa "ban". May mga refugees kasi na ayaw mag work dahil alam nilang may assistance sila from the US Government. In the end, ako may monthly pension when I retire and enjoy the rest of my days.

Medyo ngkamali ang roll out and some green card holders were affected but msakit man pakinggan the US constitution is written to protect its citizens lang.

    11. For goodness sakes it's a 3 month halt! When refugees come and they have no family here, all their expenses are paid for by the government including their apartment. Nothing wrong with that. But the new administration wants to clean house. They want to protect and serve its very own first. They don't want to be like Germany and other European countries who can't control the refugee crisis. It's on the news that there's been around 600 refugees that was let in. These people were cleared to get in. It's a temporary ban. Don't sweat it.

    12. 12;49 puro na lang compassion ba lagi while our fellow US citizens and legal immigrants naghihirap dahil sa economy. This is not a lifetime ban its just 90days. Bakit compulsory ba na US lagi ssapo sa kanila what about mga Middle Eastern countries like Jordan or Saudi Arabia na same nila ng religion at beliefs? When you choose the country na pupuntahan mo then youre not a refugee, youre an economic migrant.

If i know, majority of pinoys went to the u.s. as visitors but overstayed, became legal thru arranged marriage or married an american..some came legally thru work permits like the nurses and engineers, others who can afford came as students or have applied as emigrants a long time ago..but 'the old timer' pinoys went there as farm workers...this girl probably is either one of these filipinos who's bitter w/ her life in america after all, most ethnic residents are second class citizens..very few have cross the great divide, the u.s. is dominated by the whites like the 'wasps', the wealthy whose forebears made america great, and the rich and powerful jewish people to name a few.
I commend enrique for having a heart and i know even if he has attained fame and fortune, he has remained down to earth, compassionate and giving and it's not everyday that he enjoys all the luxuries and amenities that he owns because he is always busy w/ work. The world would be a better place if we do w/out the hate and love one another in peace and harmony...it's not only enrique who deplored Trump, believe me girl, even in europe and canada and majority of the u.s. residents are against Trump..go jump in the lake of michigan if you're so bitter w/ your life!

  35. Tumpak si Ate! While it's sad to see this, let the man do his work on what he thinks is best for his country. Mr nice guy Obama had his chance. There's a new sheriff in town. You can't possibly help every single person in this world. Why don't Saudi Arabia and other rich Arab countries double their efforts to help these refugees for example? Why must they all flee to Europe to US? The US in under new administration trying to figure out ways to help and protect its people first. What is wrong with that? Do you know there are certain areas in Europe that is not a go to spot for police officers? I know one who is married to a police officer who has to go to these compound of immigrants to do his job. No one likes to go there because of safety issues but that being their job, they have no choice. To get there they have to wear civilian uniforms to avoid direct target on their back. Imagine having to that in your own country. And it's not like America is not accepting refugees, they still do and still would, just be patient. As for Enrique, that's your opinion but you are lucky to not be a normal person with normal job and sometimes have to work extra hard so you can pay for the needs of your family. The rich in America becomes richer. The poor who relies in the government for everything (with the exception of some) are becoming lazier. Why work when the government supports them, right? Meanwhile the middle class are always the one's to suffer more so if there's serious illness in the family. Think about it. Donald Trump Doent not act presidential because of his mouth, but he is actually doing what he said he was going to do. As a citizen, I wish him the best. What kind of citizen would I be if I wish for him to fail? All these traditional politicians and the lefties will surely give him a hard time so he needs a lot of luck!

Even the 7 countries who are TEMPORARILY banned from entering the US we're made by the Obama administration. Mr Trump just want to make it effective sooner than later because of what is happening with Europe. He was right though. 43. If only American citizens who were once immigrants can learn how to look back at how they became immigrants siguro mas magiging compassionate sila. They should remember that most of them started with working visas, if not as illegal workers. Past presidents have given amnesties to such illegal immigrants and I bet most Filipinos became American citizens through this process. Kahit yung may mga pinagaralan like nurses, doctors, med techs started as immigrants with working visas. There are a lot of people I know who worked without working visas, after maka ipon nag hire ng immigration lawyers para maging legal ang stay nila. kaya naman sa hanash ng mga yan na ina agawan sila ng trabaho eh di kaya ganun din naman ginawa nyo nung pumunta kayo sa US whether you were legal or not.

  48. It is unfortunate that people have to be politically right all the time. Opo si Trump po ay unconventional. He is bold and abrupt. Double job, 16 hours a day, 7days/week. Nakatira po ako sa isang city that is heavily populated by mexicans. Infact, uscis issued a statement to the filipino community na hindi dapat mag worry if you are a legally documented immigrant. Hindi po ako mag agree sa lahat ng ginagawa ni trump but i dont despise him as well and pass judgement because i see the rationale behind it all. Sorry po at mahaba

    2. You know statistics say that it's actually white people not the minorities who are the highest user of food stamps, free healthcare, etc. How many times after 9/11 where there were attacks held here by those muslim countries that are banned? Zero. If you look at the mass killings here in the US, it's been in the hands of white so-called Christians males. There is no rationale over discriminating someone because of their religion and color of skin. That is what Trump is doing. There are Muslims in Saudi, UAE, Turkey, Egypt...why are they not banned. It's because he has business ties with them. Conflict of interest much? Sad how a lot of Filipinos who are now here have turned their back on ppl who are in need. Don't forget that in Trump's eyes, you're still brown and not like him. Your opinions don't count. Don't you see that?

  49. I live here in the US and paid hundreds of thousands in tax money thru the years. I get it that it's unnerving to be paying taxes while others are not. But banning refugees and immigrants from certain countries while some countries are not (because Trump has business ties on those other countries that has Jihadist and ISIS ties as well) will never solve the problem instead it will just create more problem and chaos. A lot of the act of Terrorism here in the US were from people that were born here in the US as well. And what about the resulting retaliation of those countries to the Americans outside the US? Now they're targeted more because of what Trump did. It is so sad that Filipinos talaga pag nakarating na dito akala mo kung sino na. They are more racist than anybody else. Di marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan.

  50. I am Pinay married to a US citizen who came to the US on a refugee visa almost 40 years ago. My husband and I do not agree with the refugee ban that is being enforced. But we agree with the screening and vetting process. Like it or not, times have changed and we must do what we can to ensure the nation's safety. Trump may have good intentions but the execution is a major fail which resulted to undue anguish and pain to legal residents, visa holders and their loved ones.

Being a Military family, we've lived in Europe and have made lifelong friends from Germany, Austria, London, etc...almost all of my friends, ordinary people who live with the new influx refugees day in and day out can attest that they have seen the adverse effects of taking people in without the security check in place. While at it, they ask why do countries like Saudi Arabia refuse to accept refugees, their brothers in faith? Why?

I think we have to look at both sides before we release hurtful words and comments that honestly do not do much good. Masisira lang araw nyo mga bes, chill lang and pray for the good to come out from all this ugliness.

We look up to America and say they are the leader of the world, kaya nga tinatawag na most powerful man in the world ang presidente nila, but if they will not lead - then they do not have the right to be called the greatest- they are like any other country in the world na walang paki sa iba

While is talking about compassion, he forgets that there is a chain effect on whatever action is made regarding this refugee crisis. Di siguro nya alam days ago merong hundreds of refugees na pinapasok dito but of course the news isn't making a big deal about it.

  60. I can't complain with the life that I have here. I just want to say, America makes lives better when you have the courage to persevere. It's a great country. It gives you various opportunities to improve your life. You just have to work hard for it. Nakaka sad lang when many don't realize how blessed they are to live here. All you have to do is work hard and you're good here. You won't need government assistance when you figure that out. Kung may problema ka sa America, don't come here. Don't abuse the system which was built to help those that deserve it. Maganda dito. Can't complain, pero when you see these people abusing the system? Nakakainit din ng ulo. You have no idea what we're talking about if you haven't witnessed this. Ang lalaki ng katawan pero ayaw magtrabaho. Troublemakers pa.

  61. I actually understand the sentiments of the people who's living and working there, of course they will really think it's unfair to them cause they're the ones working their butts off to have a better life while others are just waiting for the govt. to help them. Another is they are thinking about the safety for their families. You can't blame them to be scared of the refugees specially for what happened in Paris wherein some terrorists disguised themselves as refugees.

US, I am just basing on what I see and read on the news.

  62. She is absolutely right...People like Enrique should educate themselves to have free mind...educate, educate, educate....and not rely on the media & social media for all information... I may not agree on some of his stands, but I am not blabbing about it...I am being constructive on how I deal with my frustrations. Siguro I try niya mag volunteer ng time & money sa mga organization... find a solution not add to the problem... or JUST STick with being a CELEBRITY at magpakilig na lang

  63. May pa selfish pa kayong nalalaman.

Kaya wag nyo matahin lahat sila. More than 20 yrs na daw sila dito and nagtatrabaho lang para mabuhay pamilya nila.
