Follow the rules abroad re: driving test before acquiring driver's license for buses. In South Korea, they have to take the driving test for their bus drivers.
aside from the written test, in Manitoba, Canada you have to take 6 separate road tests for all the different types of vehicles. Class 5 is for cars/suvs/light trucks only. you will need a class 1 licence to drive all the vehicles on the road
I think this accident is a wake up call for better driving licensure exams lalo na sa passenger at big vehicles, and better maintenance ng buses at roads, kesa sa bawal ang field trip sa schools.
"I'll do everything I can in my power to make sure this does not happen again." Ano pong tinutukoy nyo? Yung aksidente?
I think the Bus driver did the best solution nun nalaman nya wala sila break kasi if di nya naisip ibangga sa poste lahat sana sila patay if mahulog sa bangin ang bus.
Hindi rin, kasi earlier pa lang the driver was informed by the students na may nangangamoy na sunog na gulong. He should pull over and check it. Instead, he just ignored the students.
Cong. Do something about this!
Only on field trips you will be able to actually see in person what you've been studying from the books. And physical participation/ interaction, add most to the Learning retention. Gamitin natin example ang cooking, mas matututo ka if you actually perform the procedure than just reading the recipe.
One of the best memories I had back in elementary and college was our field trips. We even hiked in tanay back in high school for our CAT para talaga kaming mga sundalo at marami kami natutunan about survival sa wild. Iba parin pag nakita mo at naransan mo kesa sa classroom. These accidents, nobody wanted that naman it just happened unfortunately pero wag naman sana completely alisin pero wag gawing requirement!
so dapat ba talaga lumabas ng school para maexperience yang sinasabi mong "see in person what you've been studying from the books?", marami naman pwedeng gawing alternatives para matuto ang mga bata, kaya nga may teachers, applicable pa siguro yan kung sa sinaunang panahon pa tayo pero now, with all the technologies na very accesible na ngayon, anything is possible..nasa teacher narin yan pano nya ituturo yan..
5:53. The point is to experience the pictures in the books personally.
Banning field trips is a band aid solution. Napakamyopic na view. Road safety ang usapan dito. Field trips establish a better sense of appreciation sa mga natutunan ng bata. They should not be required, but they also should not be banned.
Remember through experience mas natututo ang isang tao. Sobrang liit ng view mo regarding about education. Please take note of that.
since bata pa ko, may field trips na. and it's very educational and refreshing for me. hndi "stop the field trips" ang solusyon dito. kundi more safer well-lighted roads, well-maintained vehicles (esp the public utility vehicles) and disciplined drivers
Someone has to be liable, 14 kids died, someone has to be punished, hndi pedeng ganun lng un!
Do not let the school choose the route and bus para mas safe kung kailangan ng approval.
ReplyDeleteAdd mo pa ang repair and maintenance work sa buses, jeepneys, taxis everyday before drivers start their duty. Check the transpo talaga.

DeleteEducational field trip, Yes to that.
