Nakakadisappoint si Maxine. Yes, sobrang grabe effort nya kaya lang kasi kung magpapadala man tayo ng candidate sa Intl pageants yung may girls na may substance. Wag masyadong sheltered na buhay ang ipa experience sa mga bata para paglaki nila they know how the world works.
I am sure this girl knows that expressing herself in whatever language is her weakness. I am sure this has kept her up at night ever since ever.. but she kept a smile on her face this whole time despite all the bashings from her fellow filipinos!! Nakakalilabot kayo mga kababayan nya. If she can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen. Being a Miss Universe entails not just physical beauty but substance and depth of character as well. I think yung format ng scoring is solely based on external appearance then they reach the top 5 or whatever so hindi na nila talaga masasala ang comm skills ng candidate. Sana next time, ifactor in ang previous Q&As, interviews para sa finalists. In the end, tayo din ang nakakahiya if isasalang sa Intl contest tapos maganda nga di naman makasagot ng maayos

OMG Maxine could have mentioned so many changes that has happened in the past 10 years. All she could think about is Miss Universe being held here? Sayang because she could have made it to top 3 and even could have won the crown if not for her asinine answer. She was humble enough to admit that she is not a public speaker and yet to confidently stand in front of millions including the critics, unfortunately her own countrymen, is admirable enough. Si Pia went through a lot before she became Ms Universe ...and true her experiences she became more compassionate... kaya she answers questions eloquently...may laman... and she educates herself sa social issues and events. Maxine made it TOP6... tuloy na lang ang advocacy niya kasi she could be a a good influence sa mga kababaihan...She is Miss Philippines after all ...Her advocacy shouldn't stop kasi natalo ka...beauty with a purpose. I think this experience will help her have that. She can reflect on this. This is also a lesson for parents. Wag masyadong sheltered na buhay ang ipa experience sa mga bata para paglaki nila they know how the world works.

She should be well-spoken and articulate in expressing herself. She may be good-looking but you should admit she is severely lacking in other departments. You can't be Miss Universe with even your own countrymen struggling to comprehend what you're trying to say. We are judging her exactly because she placed herself in that position to be judged by others.

DeleteI think yung format ng scoring is solely based on external appearance then they reach the top 5 or whatever so hindi na nila talaga masasala ang comm skills ng candidate. Sana next time, ifactor in ang previous Q&As, interviews para sa finalists. In the end, tayo din ang nakakahiya if isasalang sa Intl contest tapos maganda nga di naman makasagot ng maayos

OMG Maxine could have mentioned so many changes that has happened in the past 10 years. All she could think about is Miss Universe being held here? Sayang because she could have made it to top 3 and even could have won the crown if not for her asinine answer. I am not bashing her, just reminding her trainors that being beautiful isn't everything.

Maxine is indeed beautiful but when she answered that wonderful question (that was an opening for great answer) she became the ugliest on that stage.
