I have a feeling na Maxine will do great. She may not get the crown, but who cares. As long as she gets to represent the Philippines the best she can, she's still a winner for those who appreciates her. And tingin ko, sobrang hinahasa nila sa pagsagot to.

Marami ding gowns na may lines and architectural details (parang yung gown ni Pia last year), and of course, nude-and-sheer lace gowns.
I like it that she wore green. Bagay sa skin tone, plus nakaka-caught agad ng attention. Magkakaroon din ng recall sa judges. You know why? Most contestants will go to the safer color like red, black, white or yellow, and other shades so ang tendency may kaagaw ka sa recall. Pero kung ikaw sng naiiba, makukuha mo sng attention ng judges and will make a second look at you. Look at Pia, she caught our eyes with Royal blue gown. Kasi nga bihirang gamitin yon sa beaucon, yet she carried it well. Maxine looks stunning here.😊 Thumbs up!
Yeah, especially from what's his Columbian name? I remember it sounds like Basura, mala-basurang gowns kasi ang ginawa. Especially the sapin-sapin filipiniana noon, hahaha!

I agree with you. Lets push fellow women to be better and aiming higher by giving more value and importance to what truly matters. Filipinos obsession with outward appearance should never ever take precedence over intelligence and value of hard work. If you decide to be in a public limelight and you know that speaking in english is your weakness, you better work day and night in making sure you that you will be good at public speaking. That is a more admirable quality than having the flattest Abs or perfect body. If you can afford to spend gazillion hours of time at the gym, Why not give the same amount of time and effort in speech classes. Aim higher people!

English is just a language, it is not the basis of a person's intelligence. Madami pang areas ang pwedeng tingan to consider a person intelligent. Akala mo naman napakatalibo nitong mga nangmamata kay Maxine. Kayo nga ang sumali tutal magagaling kayo eh.
AKO rin fresh malinis mabango mamahalin tignan. PAReho tayong may taste! Siya yung naiiba sa lahat. Nakakasawa na yung puro lace at mahababg slit at super daming embellishment nagmumukhang cheap yung gown.
The design is remarkable. Haven't seen that in past editions of Miss Universe. Basta 'wag lang gamitan ang pasarela ni Maxine ng "Theme from Hawai'i Five-O" as background music.
While taste is subjective, it takes someone with appreciation for haute couture to fully like Maxine's evening gown. Sanay kasi tayo sa mga glittery pageant gowns or beads & lace, but Maxine's gown is very avant garde.
