  1. OMG!

Nurse din ako though not practicing anymore.

Para sana macategorize kung urgent ung case or not?

  2. That doctor is a disgrace to medical profession! They shld not practice at all! If you don't have a heart to be a doctor and just after monetary gains, please don't work in the hospital where every minute someone else's lives matter! And for every staff that covers the doctors unprofessional behavior and misdemeanors, it's so shameful. Be humble and and serve the people, that's your job when u work in any hosp, be courteous, be mindful and humane enough to deal w everybody. I will sue that doctor.

    1. I agree. Sa lahat ng kwento may 2 version yan or more.

    2. I agree. Ang daming ganyan sa facebook. Talking with lots of false information just to get the attention. I don't buy this.

    3. Trust me! Health care team in the Philippines are not GREAT!! So totoo ito! Ang mga nurses sa Pilipinas walang say. Parang mga robot ng doctor!! Look at that nurse she should have at least initiative on what to do! Taking BP isn't enough! Aba ate nurse d sana nag bloods kana tas hinatak mo na ung do tor wether that effing doctor refused!! Nurse din ako and that's what i will do!!

      Delete
    6. You are wrong. There are many incompetent and uncaring doctors in this country.

      Delete
    7. 2:21 Im not 1:52 pero anong "nurse ka lang?" . My husband works as a nurse here in AU and sabi nya iba talaga dito kase doctors treat nurses as their equals, as in as a fellow colleague at hindi "assistant" lang kase they work as a team. Walang superiority complex na porket doctor ka e mas mataas k .each job is valued, kesyo nurse ka pa o patient assistant dito, ang importante may respect kayo sa isat isa at you do your jobs/roles properly. Sa Pinas kase, kulang na lng ata mgbow down ka sa doctors e..kahit mali o incompetent na ang doctor, wala na ba right ang nurses to do their jobs or call out something kapag alam naman nila na mali!?

      Delete
    8. sa ibang bansa you dont even need a doctor to call a code. there is truth to this story. ive seen incompetent people (not just doctors) work in the hospital. pero i disagree sa sinabi nung poster na "malakas pa nung dinala sa ospital". the man was probly having a heart attack -- that is not malakas pa. tho kung competent yung staff at may gamit ang ospital, the outcome couldve been favorable. dito sa amin pag unstable chest pain, considered emergent ang case mo and everything is done stat. kawawa naman yung namatayan. condolence.

    9. Anon 2:21 NURSE LANG?! Doctors abroad value our opinion d LANG nurse lang! And yes, d LANG kami nasa tabi, you are right, we assist doctors but we assess as well because you know what? We are NOT JUST A NURSE we have CLINICAL EYES too! Tell you what , most NURSES are way better than doctors!!! Nurses and doctors worked as a team! Captain ng ship ka pang nalalaman!

    11. I think this also boils down to number of staff attending the patients. Mukang mag isa lang si Doctor nun to attend all the cases. Ung hospital is a tertiary hospital, maraming walk in patients. My question is, nag triage ba ang nurse nun? Emergency case yung patient. Tama yung nabasa ko kanina, sana nagtake na ng initiative yung nurse to take the blood at magpacardiac enzymes na! Mag ECG na at hilahin ang manggagamot. Kahit magalit pa ang Doctor sayo. Hindi ko sinisisi yung Nurse, my point is, part ng job natin yun, hindi ng relative ng patient na magrefer sa Doctor. The Doctor on the otherhand, also failed to attend the patient kahit na andun na sya malapit sa bed ng patient? His attitude towards the situation really turned me off! Parang hindi Doctor. I know this hospital. More than the staff, dapat maging responsable din ung management dito. Pakiayos po ung system ng hospital nyo. Kawawa ang staff at patients!

    12. I just want to call out 0221H, what do you mean by Nurse ka lang? Are you belittling our profession? Assistant lang ng Doctor?? We have saved Doctors' asses many times! Just so you know, especially the new ones! I am not saying we are greater than them but if you're going to mock us, better be accurate! We are a part of the health care team! We are the ones who stay with the patients 8 hours or 12 hours a day! The Doctors only get to see them like 20-30 minutes a day. Our observation, vitals monitoring and just mere presence, matter. Doctors and Nurses rely on each other. Wag kang ignorante!

    13. He was having a heart attack kasi mostly ganyan mga patients namin sa ER, conscious pa with complaints of chest pain pero biglang bagsak at di na narerevive yung iba. Kasi bilang nurse, para sakin ang primary role ko is to be a patient advocate. Kahit magalit pa ang doctor, nag-aassess ako on my own kasi para yun sa pasyente hindi para sa doctor. We follow doctor's orders for the patient's welfare, hindi dahil inutos nila. I have the right to question or refuse an order when it is doubtful or makakasama sa pasyente.

      Delete
    14. Agree with you 12:41. Kaso mo ALMOST ALL NURSES sa atin are so reliant sa doctors and doctors on the other hand are like their master! Chest pain should be a priority sa ER!

kaya we can't blame young mega private hospitals na mahal, kasi po follow nila protocol nila.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Department of Health should be strict in imposing penalties to erring doctors like the one mentioned by the sender. They are not doing public service.

Not all patients who go to hospital under emergency circumstances have to change clothes just for them to be given priority. Emergency nga, di ba? May time pa magdamit sa sudden heart attack or chest pains?! Tsk!

  13. This should be address to the president and make an investigation and make a change of the work ethics in the hospital. To the doctors, nurses, down to the hospital cleaners how to treat people in there rights. If this happen to the country I leave now.The doctor is in trial or in jail now that's they value life.

    1. That is a Government Hospital. Yes address it to the President please so he can see how the Government Hospital system really work in the country. Kung di mo lam, i'll tell you. Kulang kulang pati manpower. Then mag expect kayo ng magandang treatment.

  19. three sides of the story true pero important here is to address the issues. doctors are trained how to respond sa ER both ethics and skills.

  21. I think the reason why kinakagat agad ang stories against doctors, even w/o hearing from the other side, is bec we all have had bad experiences with them. I have a family member who almost died dahil napakamukhang pera o sadyang incompetent ng doctor.

  22. During my duty in my college days iba ang treatment sa poor at rich lalo na ung private at public hospital.

  23. Sa hospital may masipag at tamad kahit saan namang trabaho. Bakit isa lang doctor sa ER dapat two or more ang doctor kahit public .

Enebeyen :D Anyway, they put us in a ward, walang bed, my Mom went home to get a folding bed, and sa corridor ako. During hosp rounds, pinasok nila folding bed ko sa ward, after that, balik sa corridor. Monday AM, super maga na L arm ko and nka straight lang sya (dapat pala, na-advice man lang sana ng med staff doon na lagyan ng sling or something). Anyway, got IV and it was empty for so long maga na rin yung tinusukan ng IV. Tuesday came & got xray and semento/cast for my L arm. Lol! Natatawa lang ako everytime I remember cause it was really bad and not up to standards yung care.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  33. That is why it is very important to have health card nowadays para pag ganyang emergency cases you bring the patient sa private hospital agad. There they will take good care of you. Mahirap makipagsapalaran sa public hospital pag emergency cases.
