ALV's Statement Regarding Ping Medina's PAMI Complaint

“On behalf of the other members of the PAMI, I gladly acknowledge Ping Medina’s formal complaint against my talent, Baron Geisler.”

“While we acknowledge Baron’s behavioral lapses, we do not fully agree with the popular decision that he is the only one who is at fault regarding the controversial incident.”

“We will be discussing this issue over the weekend, and I can assure everyone that we will abide by the majority decision.

“Being Baron’s manager, I will abstain from the voting to ensure fairness and impartiality, and will welcome any sanctions that the PAMI will formally lodge against him.”

  4. I agree. I'm not even a fan of any of these celebrities, I'm only here because I'm a Fashion Pulis blog fan. And since, this matter has been featured here a few times, I've always wondered why the director keeps "washing her hands" in her public posts every chance she gets? Simple. It's because she knows that she is as equally accountable for what happened as Baron Geisler is.

The director lost control over her set and risked Ping Medina's health and safety when she blindly gave Baron permission to do what he had planned to make the scene more intense. Had the director taken a few seconds, or maybe even minutes, of her time to determine what Baron was planning to do as he tried to obtain her permission, none of it would've happened.

Granted that arbitrarily pissing on a co-actor during a scene is unorthodox albeit unacceptable, still, it would've been prevented if the director nipped the "plan" in the bud.

All the things being said now of Baron's narcissism because he was trying to eclipse Ping Medina's acting, and anything to that effect are all speculative (to his motivations) and ancillary to the true issues.

Do I believe that Baron is wrong for pissing on Ping Medina during a scene? Absolutely. I also happen to think that he is a jerk and an as*h***, an annoying repeat offender, and somebody who is destroying his life with his delusions of grandeur. But in this instance, is he to be blamed entirely on why such incident happened? No, because the director failed to keep the set under control. All because she refused to invest a few minutes of her time to find out Baron's plan as he sought her permission. Baron can only take the blame for being stupid to think that his idea of "creating" a more realistic portrayal of the scene was acceptable. But no more than that.

If only we can sue and prosecute and jail as*h***s being as*h***s, then Baron will be in for life. And maybe some other celebrities, too. But that is not a crime, unfortunately.

In this particular incident, in the spirit of fairness, the PAMI should hold the director accountable for her actions and lack thereof. And if they have the power to do so, help Ping Medina file the necessary (civil) lawsuit to obtain financial reparations for pain and suffering due to the director's negligence and his co-actor's lewd conduct.

    1. This! The director probably haven't heard of the saying "the buck stops here" by President Truman. It was her ship, her command responsibility, at the end of the day.

    3. Exactly! Baron and the director are both accountable in this issue kaso yung director panay hugas din ng kamay.

    4. Totally agree with your comment 12.37. The director is probably thinking about those few precious minutes that could've changed the course of events. If only. #hindsightis20/20

    5. Kung totoo man may mali ang director it was an honest mistake and not intentional. Dati rin sya humahanga sa talent ni Baron just like you guys are and she wanted to give Baron a chance. She needs not be persecuted for Baron's sin.

  7. WALANG DIREKTOR NA MAGSASABING IHIAN MO ANG KAPWA MO ARTISTA..PWERA LAMG LUNG AMG DIREKTOR AY SI BARON GEISLER..

  8. Partly at fault din ang director. She should have asked when baron said may gagawin sya kung ano yung gagawin niya.

    1. Shunga ka? In the name of professionalism na lang bakit mo iihian ang katrabaho mo?

    2. Knowing Baron and his history, she still would have asked. Kahit man lang out of curiosity. Sa mga explanations niya, she only showed her naivete. It was her job to ensure the safety and well-being of her actors, above all.

Habang ginagawa ang eksena sinabi niya walang monitor to really see the scene in action so anong silbi niya as a director? K.

  10. Ang excuse nung director, there was no monitor daw.

  11. Self-professed director cum journalist yung Arlyn, nakita ko in one of her multiple posts, kaya magaling mag spin ng mga events.
