Constantly Behaving Like a Thrilled Fan

Celebrities are often expected to behave with actions befitting their status. Hence, the public could sometimes forgive if a big star snubs fans or when an actor-politician is more serious during non-showbiz functions. In other words, celebrities have to fit the stereotype, and if they are spotted not acting like one, expect comments from netizens and kibitzers calling for such celebrities to behave.

As loveteams comprise a growing phenomenon, fans are growing in droves as well locally and internationally. The good thing about this emergence is that fans cut across society class and even celebrity status. Initially, the fan mode behavior of Media Personality (MP) was met with amusement. Given her status, her fascination with fellow celebrities would often surprise people who see her behave like she herself was not one. For instance, when she was fond of a certain celebrity, she took advantage of every opportunity to have a photo. Sometimes, MP would literally go an extra mile huffing and puffing just to catch up with her idol for the moment.

When MP’s attention was caught by a Celebrity Couple (CC), she started behaving like an ordinary fan and dropped her celebrity clout whenever CC was around. However, because she is a celebrity in her own right, she could have access even to certain non-public events of CC. However, people around CC are on pins and needles whenever MP arrives during their projects. MC arrives at the location unannounced.

While MP could just stay in a corner and watch CC from afar, people in the production know that they have to recognize and entertain MP. Hence, CC has to be called for a timeout to give pleasantries to MP. Then, this brief meeting would extend for a few minutes because MP has to have pictures with CC. The situation adds more headaches because MP is seldom alone during her unannounced set visits, as she also brings her friends with her. Thus, CC will now have to accommodate more people for photos. Lucky for MP, CC and the production team are already familiar with her style, and thus, have learned to play her game. The attitude of CC could have been a factor that won MP over, and no one would dare to change the image of the couple.
