When Pain is Just Too Deep to Excavate

While much has been written on the surprising behind the scene relationship of Magnificent Performer (MP) and Her Child (HC), the latter has opted to keep quiet and not address issues thrown at her. Typical of showbiz families, the parent usually gives the child a push to jumpstart the latter’s career. Thus, the audience became curious in HC and compared her with MP. In terms of talent, HC proved she has her own style, which was very different from that of MP. Her first fans were followers of MP, and soon HC proved she could have a career on her own.

Over the years, HC achieved more than expectations. Although she was far from MP when it came to performing and charming the viewers, the audience was still curious as to what HC could bring. Whenever the two of them would be in one show, tickets would be sold out, as a talented mother and child duo is hard to come by. While MP could be wild onstage, HC was subtle, relaxed, and prim. Besides, whenever HC would imitate MP, the spiel would always bring the house down.

Yet, life was not easy for both. Whereas people of her age should be enjoying the remainder of her life, MP was still in demand for shows and guestings. Meanwhile, HC had to adjust her family life after an unsuccessful first attempt. Her career flourished, but things turned worse when the network stopped giving shows to her.

One day, MP became sick, and sadly, her life was cut short later. As the one living closest to MP, HC was expected to take care of MP during her ailment. The other children lived far. Then, contrary to common notion, these children were all in the city during the last breath of MP. During the burial, HC was conspicuously missing. The siblings realized that HC was giving them the ‘attitude.’

Questions of whether HC closely took care of MP emerged, and the siblings were allegedly unhappy at how things turned out. This resentment might have had deep roots. First, one wonders why HC dropped the name that would closely link her to MP. It seems she does not want to be associated with MP. Then, on a more personal issue, HC seemed obsessed with attempts to look better, and thus, she succumbed to the bandwagon of trying to lighten up literally. Now that MP has left for good, the gap remains among siblings.
