The Motive Behind Her Award

In the past months, the entertainment industry has seen a tremendous flow of awards being given locally and internationally. Various bodies have recognized the acting skills of celebrities and even the quality of local filmmaking. Some of these organizations are highly respected, while others belong to organizations that could be classified as a dime for dozen.

Nonetheless, regardless of the organization, the affiliated networks of winners have made a big deal out of these recognitions. After all, any award, especially if given by another country, would always add to the credentials of the talents of a network. Thus, not only is the celebrity proud, the station will have bragging rights as well.

When Network Actress (NA) won an international award, the public was surprised. Having not given any hint that she would be going abroad, her fans were shocked to see that NA managed to slip out of the country to receive her award. However, the essence of her award raised eyebrows, as it was the first time that such recognition was known in the local industry. Despite the questionable nature of the award, NA brought it home with pride.

However, in the next few months, the public should not be amazed if NA would be seen promoting the major sponsor of her award. According to the grapevine, NA won the award as an alleged ex-deal for her involvement in activities that would endorse the major sponsor. Soon, NA might have a role similar to that of an ambassador who promotes the good and the advantage of visiting certain places.

To get an award, nominees should be well known by the board of judges, but in the case of NA, her connections paved the way. Rumors have it that NA was connected with the board through a very influential alleged intimate acquaintance. Hence, not only was NA nominated, she even won such award, which of course, has nothing to do with her acting skill.

With her award, NA managed to draw some attention to her, as she has been without any major project in the last few months. Thus, the award made a bit of noise for her to be talked about again. Unfortunately, despite this award, some co-workers are not keen on collaborating with NA, given her crankiness and at times, proud attitude. Perhaps, NA could later realize that the reputation of the award-giving body has to be checked, as well as her attitude.
