In an ironic twist of events, the Facebook account of the netizen who started a petition to ban avid Rodrigo Duterte supporter Mocha Uson’s page has been reported to the social networking site.

Paul Quilet said in an update he posted Monday night on his change.org petition that he has already sought the reactivation of his Facebook account.

“My Facebook account has been reported. I have requested Facebook to have it reactivated ASAP,” Quilet wrote.

Since his update at 10:30 p.m. Monday, Quilet has yet to post of any development regarding his account.

On Sunday, Quilet started the “Suspend Mocha Uson Blog Facebook Page” petition in a bid to quell the “social media page which promotes lies and hate-mongering online.”

“I have never seen someone divide our country so much since the time of Marcos. The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” Quilet said of his petition that has gathered 30,557 supporters as of writing.

Uson, a member of an all-female singing group and an avid supporter of President Duterte, responded to the petition by uploading early Tuesday a mugshot of her with her mouth taped. The photo had on its borders the caption, “If you can’t handle the truth, silence it. We stand with Mocha.”

Quilet has since defended his position, and said that there’s “always a thin line between rights and responsibilities.”

“Everyone is free to express what they want. But problems arise when this fundamental right is used to manipulate and condition the public, when it is exploited to serve anyone’s purpose, when it is used as a shield against accountability,” Quilet said. CDG/rga

They encourage Freedom of Speech-- a right that not all nations in the world are allowed to have, and as an American company, they want to extend that basic right to all their users. May limits yan, yes, but unless Mocha is breaking any law, I doubt na ibaban nila yan.

Let PRRD do his job, give him a chance kesa yung criticize kayo ng criticize. You had your chance 6 yrs ago at epic fail ang kinalabasan.

    2. I don't like Mocha myself but you're right 3:54. Simplest thing they could have done is just ignore her. And if they themselves have something to say contrary to Mocha's rantings, put up a blog, too. Help educate us if you will. Offer us new perspectives. Ideas that unite and enlighten us. That's a far more effective way of silencing Mocha.

    3. will you ignore someone who is spreading wrong information and using foul words? ok pah nagsinungaling ang parents mo, partner mo o anak mo, ignore it.

  3. Silencing Mocha is so undemocratic. If you think that she's spreading lies, then counter it with the truth. Banning her to speak her mind won't silence her, it will only add fuel to the already burning hot fire.

    1. She needs to be stopped since she's spreading lies. (e.g credit grabbing from past admin, new method of repacking goods daw na ngayon lang nangyari eh last year pa ginagawa ng DSWD, etc).

    5. I support our president but I do not read nor visit mocha's blog. Problema kasi if you can't stand her being a die hard prrd supporter, then wag nyong pansinin or patulan. Or better yet, tama ung sinasabi ng iba instead of "petition to ban" eh mag counter blog ka ng sinasabi mong katotohanan. Tpos tag mo si mocha. It will give you the satisfaction na parang in your face evidence based answer ung bnigay mo skanya.

Both of you do not know how to use your set of freedoms properly. Bwis*t kayo pareho!

  18. “If you can’t handle the truth, silence it. We stand with Mocha.”

I think the reason why those 30k people signed the petition is not because they can't handle the truth but because they can't handle the lies or the misguided information Mocha posts which a lot of her followers blindly believe. I admire her for posting the accomplishments of our president for everyone's awareness but she also often posts a lot of misleading articles against those against the current president.

  19. Pro Duterte ako but I don't like Mocha. O pareho nalang kayo masuspend!
