True. Almost 3 yrs nako nagpapabreastfeed ngayon still may gatas padin ako. Pag pinisil k nipple k may kumalabas pa nga eh. Malaks pa gatas ko pero malakas nadin kumain ng solid food si baby. Hehe

Wow, purely breastfed for almost one year? That's amazing! But I read that you should start to introduce solids when the baby is 5 months old. Studies have shown that's the healthy way. So from 5 months, solids along with breastmilk.
tama yung 6 mos or else magiging picky eater yung bata pero nde ka lang nagbibigay ng water sa bata kapag purely breastfed pero kung formula dapat may water kahit below 6 mos kasi may casein yung regular formula so mahirap idigest nagkaka constipation yung mga babies.
What's with breastfeeding being equated with being a good mom??? So pag formula fed ang bata hindi ka na mabuting ina??? Minsan bragging rights nalang ung pure breastfeeding na para bang may sarili kang pedestal sa pagiging mabuting ina!
It doesn't stop there. Aside from breastfed vs formula, meron ding working mom vs stay-at-home mom, organic vs regular food, homeschooled vs regular school, etc etc. It's tough for a first-time mom to deal with all these "I'm the best mom" award. What's important is we do our best despite the financial, time & other constraints.

Iba lng talaga ang sacrifice ng bf moms, kaya achievement na yung ma breastfeed mo c baby for a year. Good job bianca!

ReplyDelete6mos ang introduction ng solids. You shouldnt give any food even water for babies under 6mos as recommended by WHO and DOH.
