You can have more than 1 bank account. It's inconvenient to cancel existing ones that is tied to your online banking, automatic bill payments,etc.Maybe another,like PNB, is for long-term investment so you wouldn't carry that card daily. Carry the lower balance card daily in case it gets lost or stolen.
You don't put all your money in one basket. Pati ba naman yun problema ninyo. Kapag marami kang pera tulad ni James siguradong madami kang bank accounts....

And IMO, there should be no issues with him endorsing another bank which is different from the bank that issued his cards. Why? First, limit is still in the Php 500K per account holder. So it is not wise to keep all your money in one bank. Or for that matter, bring all your cards in one purse. Second, his BPI account based on the design of the card looks like it preceded his endorsement of PNB. It might be an old account of his that he maintains or it was issued by his agency for his salary. Third, he did not deliberately nor carelessly flaunted that he uses another bank. The pic was posted to authenticate the claim of having with him (the finder)the wallet and its contents.
When automated monthly transactions are connected to a bank account,it's not convenient to just transfer to another account. Pwede open na lang ng bagong account and leave the existing one alone. Less headache.
