Major Changes Just to Save Her Relationship

After realizing her life was facing a major crisis, Homegrown Talent (HT) took a few steps back to see what she could do to save her life that was about to crumble in front of her eyes. Thus, having an open mind, HT sought help and advice concerning the actions she should do to make sure her life’s pillars will not fall on her.

In the nick of time, HT managed to salvage her relationship. She and her Actor Partner (AP) decided to give their relationship one more try. However, changes had to be made in the way HT was to be packaged and limitations were imposed in scenes she could do. These limitations, which could curtail her spontaneity, had to be done because AP was becoming jealous at the way male actors were treating HT.

While HT is not exactly a looker, she makes the most of her career with her personality. She could change the mood of the audience with her antics. Her presence and wit often add color to dull scenes. However, her resilience and patience to challenge the stereotype that one has to be pretty to make it were qualities that the audience admired.

Then, insecurity made its way into their relationship. Reality says that AP was not exactly flourishing in his career. By contrast, HT had projects left and right, and was obviously earning more than AP. To make matters worse, her male co-stars started giving her attention, which was flattering. When AP learned of what was happening in the set, he became jealous instead of realizing that HT was merely acting and her actions were for the sake of her profession. Yet, AP would have none of such reasoning. Therefore, as part of their second chance, HT could no longer become chummy towards her screen partners. In addition, kissing and other touchy scenes would have to be sanitized.

Every time a project was proposed, HT made sure that her conditions would be met. If the production is unable to meet her requests, HT dropped the project. Given that these restrictions would require major adjustments in the script and limit her roles, HT did not care. Her actions implied that she would rather risk her career than have AP walk out on her. At this point, HT could only think of making sure AP will not go astray and hope that she will manage to maintain her career.
