But dahil ang nauso sa philippines si kris aquino or gretchen baretto na puro kayabangan kaya akala ng most Pinoys its fine na magyabang at mag post sa social media show off and brag. But really its cringeworthy as praises should come from other people. Or at least we should let other people see or compliment us with our achievements or what we have. its ok to be grateful for finishing a college degree but the insert cum laude makes me cringe as obviously its bragging even of it was the truth.
She doesn't come across (at least for me) as someone who is nagyayabang but someone who is thankful for the support and opportunities. Its an achievement. She should be proud of that and we should be happy for her.

No offense to Gerphil and her supporters since she's really talented, pero masyado kasi siyang sosyal para sa panlasa ng masa audience. Regardless of objectivity, may punto din naman sina Ai-Ai at Kris sa kanilang sinabi noong nag-audition siya sa PGT kaya tama lang na sa ibang bansa siya nabigyan ng recognition kasi mas mature ang appreciation nila when it comes to music. Classical and Opera are genres often perceived by Pinoys as "Anti-Masa" tapos yung aura at pananalita pa ni Gerphil e yung parang hindi unreachable sa masa. Dito sa Pilipinas, hindi lang itsura at talento ang tinitignan kundi charisma. Gerphil has the latter, but on a different level nga lang. Anyway, congrats sa kanya!
