Seeking Closure

When they were a couple, Versatile Performer (VP) and prized Network Talent (NT) played the hide-and-seek game with the public at first. Although both were single prior to their relationship, they would never confirm that they were an item despite being seen together in public places and functions. VP has always had an image of a ‘good boy,’ which made him the type of boy mothers would have loved their daughters marry. However, NT was starting her career with a bang then, having been recruited by a network to fill the void of the station’s need for a major star. This situation, that is, working in separate networks, could have been the reason for their hiding their relationship at first.

As time passed, their sightings were enough to validate that they were indeed together and given that actions speak louder than words, the fans were assured that VP and NT were indeed together. Alas, happiness was not meant for them. While VP seemed to be a likeable match for NT, the family of the latter was putting pressure on the two to break apart. As to the reason why the family detested VP, no one really knew. However, when a Feisty Relative (FR) embarrassed VP in a gathering of their peers, that incident was enough to show that VP will never be accepted by the family of NT. In keeping with his clean image, VP never disclosed any detail of the said incident with FR.

Sadly, after a few weeks since that incident, VP and NT broke up. While both assured they were okay during their immediate post-breakup stage, apparently, things were not working out anymore, and reconciliation was so remote. Thus, both went separate ways. Soon, VP was seen with friends in parties left and right. Then, NT found her distraction with Cute Scion (CS). Unlike her relationship with VP, NT and CS were more visible as a couple in social media. From all perspectives, CS seems to have been accepted by FR. Thus, NT might have already moved on.

While NT has found a new love, VP seems to still be stuck at not moving on yet. At the backstage of an event, the crew and some close friends of VP were teasing him that he should move on as NT was already seriously taken. Letting go of the almost three years they had spent together seems to be hard for VP. While VP merely laughed at the teasing, the people around him felt that VP was still feeling hurt over their breakup. People even assumed that his frequent presence in various parties could be his way of coping with his breakup.
