Eh yung ibang LT's 2-4 years nang mag kasama, hindi mapaghiwalay ng project. Enrique is in the business for almost 8 years na. He doesn't have to prove anything. Si Liza mga 3 years pa lang.
The fact that only Enrique is trusted enough by an indie production outfit to carry this kind of movie on his own, out of all the big male stars involved in LT's right now, already speaks volumes.
You might want to compare IF the project is the same genre as what he does in his love team with Liza. Obviously this film is not. This will not be meant for box office success but rather for film fests recognition.
This film is intended for international film competition and acting and story are the main concentrations of the film. Enrique Gil does not have a leading lady here,but LizQuen fans will support to the best they can coz they love and believe in him. This is not expected to be a super box office, but I think with Enrique in the lead, the movie will be patronized, especially if the story is good. Right now LizQuen fandom is so excited for his movie and pledging full support. Lets see.
Acting ni Quen = acting ni Kim??? Seriously? Kunot noo school of acting is more of Gerald's thing pa, not quen's. C enrique ung kilay, minsan nkkabother, laging nakababa, e kaso, he can't help that, alangan naman i pa botox para di gumalaw. Pero unless you're a hater/fault finder, mapapalampas mo naman yon. He's a total package when he acts-- voice projection, nuances, facial expression. Gosh,pati tears, parang nacucue nia kung kelan nangingilid lang at kung kelan na tutulo!
I don't get the hype sa Kid Kulafu. It's just an okay movie. Si Alessandra lang ang redeeming factor. In my opinion (and maybe madami ang magdi-disagree), Paul Soriano is not a very good storyteller. Hindi rin naman distinct ang kanyang visual style.
As for Thelma, di ko napanood pero I agree naman na Maja is a really good actress talaga. Kahit anong project or genre, Maja always deliver a good performance.

Pero if it makes good enough in it's theatrical run sa pinas, baka iset din siya for international screening. If that happens, i will definitely watch it! Yaman din lang na di pa nirereveal sa poster ang title, i hope they reconsider using a different one, and not it's working title na dukot. Kasi i find it a bit off na when they say it, they tend to explain pa na "dukot", as in kidnap. E kc obviously the word dukot can have a not-so-wholesome connotation. And meron na ding palang indie movie of the same title not so long ago. Dukot-- as in yung mga dinudukot na mga aktibista nung panahon ng martial law. Pwede bang "kidnapped" na lang? Or "bihag"? Basta, wag na lang sanang dukot.
Pakiexplain paano nasapawan? Nasapawan sa promo? Kasi yung movie ni James flop eh. Yung ongoing primetime serye ni Enrique laging over 30% ang ratings. May world tour din ang LizQuen at maraming endorsements. So again, pakiexplain.

Much deserved for Enrique. Napakagaling niya and alam ng lahat iyon but sometimes audience take it for granted because he's been in the business for 8 years and isn't a "fresh face" like others na biglang bumulusok ang career last year. His acting is so underrated and he is more than a pretty face and a dancing machine. His fans already know this but soon the international film festival circuit is about to find out.
mata pa lang pang-poster na. di na kelangan ilagay ang pagkagwapong mukha kasi yan lang kelangan para idescribe ang story sa poster. haha. iba ka Enrique Gil!
Sana hindi na lumayo ang teaser poster na to sa maging actual theatrical poster. Sobrang minimalist pero ang lakas ng impact. It's a breath of fresh air among so many other posters out there na parang ang objective lang ay kung pano mailagay lahat ng cast sa poster!
Hats off to whoever is behind this poster-tagline combo, ang galing ng concept! Very artistic and thought provoking. That it is primarily black seems to be a reference that it is a paul soriano film.
Then the tag line, "will they find him?". Question is, who are "THEY"? The premise is that quen's character was kidnapped. So where will the story revolve around? Will it be about the RESCUE TEAM finding him before it's too late? Or will it be a case of an attempt for self-rescue (escape) and bringing himself back to safety before his ABDUCTORS find him? Now I'm curious more than ever to watch it. I wonder how soon is coming soon?
this film is not like the other typical indie films i've watched, it gaves me a hollywood vibes...and i like the poster, its simple yet very striking w/c will make you curious...sana matutu ang SC & viva sa ten17 on how to make a good poster...i really hope the movie delivers and go well! i'll be watching this hundred times
Unpopular opinion...I don't see Enrique as a good actor. Pagdating sa emotional scenes...when his character is supposedly stripped down and requires him to show raw emotions...hindi ko sya makitaan ng hugot. Parang dinadaan nya sa itsura, sa mukha. Hindi yung galing sa emosyon ang acting nya, kapag yung mga scenes na tahimik at emosyon ang kailangang mangibabaw. Kaya para bigyan ng personality, ginagawang mas exaggerated at loud/obvious yung incidentals para paangatin yung character. Kapag purely drama, quiet scene..hindi sya makahugot. Dinadaan niya lang sa itsura.
I disagree with you. Because of his acting I feel like totoong tao si Xander, ethan, ten ten. Lahat ng ginagampanan niya nagagawan niya talaga ng sariling personality kaya hindi mo makakalimutan.
I highly disagree with this. Enrique's acting style is always on point. There was this one episode where there's no words uttered, it was only his eyes expressing his emotions and it is so superb! Only haters would have the same comment as 11:24 and unfortunately that's not what most of us have seen. It is funny actually because my husband who is not into teleserye and all is so amazed with his acting. He said yung mata nya is so expressive.
Di ko gets yung best actor sya kasi sa totoo lang...similar sila ni Richard Gutierrez ng acting style. Yung ginagawang puppy dog eyes yung mata pag drama scenes para mukhang kawawa.
i admit first few years niya sa industry ganyan acting style niya. but siguro di ka updated sa latest movie niya or mo pa napanood forevermore kaya ganyan ka magsalita.
