    2. Nope! I do not wish to be a rachelle ann go!

;) The girl was so emotional during curtain call. The way she bowed to the audience was so touching. But, of course, you didn't watch. You wouldn't know this. What's important is that the people at the theatre felt her sincerity.

    4. @4:35pm you missed the point.

  5. OA Fantine performance nya. Parang nasa singing contest lang. Wagas gumalaw ang mga braso at kamay.

    1. Lol. Did we watch the same show? Aside from her fight scenes and Come to Me, she did not move her arms so much. 😂😂 Meanwhile, during I Dreamed A Dream, she only reached for the letter and her locket. 😂

    2. Theater performers are supposed to act in pronounced movements. Sayang ticket mo te.

    4. 8:04 Sa YouTube lang ako nanood bakla! Hahaha. Waley ako sa Pinas. I was comparing her performance with The Lea Salonga whom I saw a few times live in Broadway. Hahaha

    5. Ay sus, palusot. Haha. Maka-wagas ka akala mo naman nanuod talaga. She only had three arm movements in her YT video: (1) Hawak sa dibdib/locket, (2) Hawak sa tyan and (3) Turo sa likod (she only did this once though). Most of time, nakababa lang. Oh god, you're one of those people na nambabash lang.

    1. Cameron Macintosh disagrees. :) He wouldn't put her on two different productions if he thinks Rachelle's voice is more suited for concerts.

    4. Also watched the show. Though Rachel was good, there were portions where her pop influence can be heard. Understandable since she just relatively new in musicals.
Javert was the best among the cast, his death scene was epic. And Eponine was also very good and at the ending of A Little Fall of Rain, you can literally hear your seatmates' heartbeat, it was poignant.

  7. I don't like her performance, sounds pop and walang power yung voice nya. Si Lea kasi e grr

    1. I can agree with the "sounds pop" comment but not on the "walang power". 0.o I don't get it. Mas walang power ang voice ni Lea. Don't get me wrong. Lea was a wonderful Fantine but when it comes to vocal power, medyo behind si Lea as against Patti Lupone, Sierra Boggess, Ruthie Henshall and, yes, Rachelle Ann.

  8. She was so amazing as Fantine! I watched her in local productions before but that girl in Little Mermaid and Tarzan was nowhere near great as the girl I watched as Fantine. The transformation is goosebumps-inducing. Ibang-iba sa Rachelle dati. I never thought she can succeed as an actress. But damn! Her voice is really kinda pop-ish but that didn't undermine her capabilities as an actress. I was sitting in the 2nd row and I can see the tears streaming down her face. How she can deliver clean notes while crying is simply amazing!

  11. My only take against Rachel Go is that she looks too Asian kahit noong nasa ensemble na siya huli mo pa rin kung sino siya but I like her as Fantine. Ang mga tao kasi were expecting an Anne Hathaway performance :(

But what Lea said that people were humming with the songs is true. H/E, I would not take that against the audience - iisa lang ibig sabihin non - ganyan kasikat ang LesMis .

As whole OKs ang #LesMisManila except for the guy who was playing Enjolras. Yung boses, clipped, not too powerful nor his presence too authoritative.

We have a nice time tho having pictures with the boy who played Gavroche.

    1. This is so true. People were expecting her to act ala Anne Hathaway. But of course, she wouldn't. Hindi pwede sa musicals ang ganung performance. Pwede sa movies but not in theater.

  12. Bash pa more kay Rachelle!
