Whatever legalities there are that precludes him from voting is fine. It is what it is.
The backlash and the public's confusion on the matter stems from Robin Padilla's staunch position on endorsing his candidate(s) and passionate call for revolutionary change in our society, when in fact, he couldn't even influence the vote.
Why didn't he just tell the truth from the start?
Perhaps, if Robin Padilla prefaced his passionate public expressions and/or endorsements with a statement or disclosure that his passion for the right to vote is borne out of his inability to do so, maybe people wouldn't be too harsh with him now, maybe some will even admire him for it. Sure there will be questions as to why, but that is also his truth, along with others, who like him, wish change upon our beloved country but due to extenuating circumstances couldn't cast their votes.
It just seemed deceitful (and a tad bit hypocritical) for him to lead people on to believing the idea that he was a legitimate voter, that he was taking-on some sort of a "role model" persona. You know, when you preach to the congregation, you must also lead by example so that your followers witness that you are what you preach.
With all these now coming out, the backlash has certainly diminished his message and credibility as an advocate for change.
11:36, nakulong si Robin and found guilty then.
Scenario 1 mga nakaboto kahapon Na preso sila ung on going pa or Hndi pa final ang desisyon Sa kaso Nila. Scenario 2 conditional pardon meaning me kundisyon ang paglaya ibig sbhin me limitation. So technically wala ciang kaso or conviction to begin with so me karapatan ciang bumoto or tumakbo. Ung case ni Gloria, bong at jinggoy katulad Sa scenario 1., on going trial so me mga karapatan pa..
So kaninong post yun kay robin? Sus! Tapos magagalit!
Her reason is hindi siya nakaabot cause she went on a vacation abroad.I dont see anything wrong.Support who you want to support.
He's a Filipino. He has the right to talk all he wants. He may not have voted atleast me na e ambag dba? ikaw kaya? you voted but ano na e ambag mo? ang pambabash? so shut up ka nlng. Thanks! lab u!
I really don't get people who actively campaign for a particular candidate and then in the end, we find out that they're not even registered voters. If you were so passionate regarding this election, or your candidate, couldn't you have put some of that passion to at least register?
Gets?
WAAAAHHH!!! Ano toh?
Eh totoo naman kasi he can't vote kasi wala syang pardon di pa nabigay lahat mg rights nya. Pero atleast di sya naging pipi diba! Asawa sya kahit ako pagtatanggol ko asawa ko
Mariel can't blame people on bashing Robin, these people don't know the whole story as well. She should not be annoyed and should have just explained the whole reason in a calm manner. With her attitude and condescending tone, people are now more annoyed with her instead of them sympathizing with Robin's plight. This Mariel has a major attitude problem.
Anyone convicted for 6 years and up loses the right to vote as per Philippine laws. He had lost that right during the time of FVR. And it is not as if he did not want to vote. He just couldn't due to his past hellion days. Which he had already paid for as he spent years behind the bar. He is still paying in some ways too, as some countries he wanted to go to, such as Australia to see his other kids, had denied him visas.
Now, don't bash the couple. You can support any candidate that you want even if you can not actually vote. Like some minors assisting in the campaigns of their relatives who are candidates.
He's still a taxpayer. And he's got the right to voice out his views and choices. He had LOST THE RIGHT TO VOTE, and that is why he's not registered as a voter. If you still think he has no right, then include relatives below 18 campaigning for their parents, etc since they can't vote either.
Pls lang mariel, wag mong idamay so Trillanes sa kaguluhan that you created. He is inviting praises and criticisms. So deal with it!
Aba't pinagmayabang pa ang hindi pagboto.
ReplyDeleteI agree. And bakit siya magpopost ng picture na as if boboto siya? Lakas dumaldal yun pala hindi naman botante? Ginag*g* pala kami ng asawa mo
Deleteomg. bakit ung post nia, parang bumoto sia kay duterte today.
Deletegrabe magpaikot!!
Anong pag mamalaki dun? May comprehension ka ba?
DeleteWhatever legalities there are that precludes him from voting is fine. It is what it is.

Delete11:36, nakulong si Robin and found guilty then.
Enlighten me please.

DeleteAs much as he wants to vote, he can't. He was once a convicted felon and nawaawala na yung rights of suffrage
DeleteHuh?
He has every right like you and me.
Deletewala kasi siyang absolute pardon. kaya he is doing his part lang sa pag iingay

ReplyDeleteWAAAAHHH!!!
ReplyDeleteHe was jailed for more than 6years. That's probably the reason why he can not vote. HE HAD LOST THE RIGHT TO VOTE.
ReplyDeleteKakahiya puro daldal di pala botante.Sana practice what you preach Mr Padilla. Parehas kayo ng asawa mong OA.
ReplyDeleteGo Mariel
ReplyDeleteEh totoo naman kasi he can't vote kasi wala syang pardon di pa nabigay lahat mg rights nya. Pero atleast di sya naging pipi diba! Asawa sya kahit ako pagtatanggol ko asawa ko
ReplyDeleteAng kuda nyo kasing mag asawa kaya tuloy maraming assumerang nambash. Take it from Daniel. If you don't vote, shut up na lang.
ReplyDeleteNo evidence. Ayaw nga mag sign! DUH!
