  8. Minsan okay naman banat nitong si Teddy, e, lalo na sa mga pulitiko.. pero lately parang ewan ko ba >>> off na off yung paghamak niya sa Filipino language, then pati showbiz issues medyo pampam na

I know, I know, he is a respected news/media person, pero parang ang cheap niya minsan! Si Mo Twister, whether you love or hate him, I can say na most of the times witty siya, itong si Teddy andropause na ba?

  9. I kinda agree with Teddy though, I cringe when I saw a scene where Mateo was speaking Italian. For whatever reason he looked unnatural despite him being half Italian.

    2. Sabihin mo lang kung hindi mo bet yung acting ni Matteo but to criticise his Italian when most probably you don't speak Italian yourself is beyond ironic.

      Delete

      Delete
    4. Seconded. Hammed up yung accent niya. He should tone it down a notch or two.

      Delete

      Delete
    6. Matteo did admit that his accent is different as his Italian roots are from that of countryside.

      Delete
    8. matteo speaks italian at home.. wag ka nga dyan anon 1:44..

      Delete
    9. Fyi, fluent c Matteo sa italian, nhiya nman c Matteo sayo.

      Delete
    10. I totally agree with you! The purpose nman tlga that Matteo was given the role, was because he can speak the language. Apparently he's not fluent and overdoing the accent. So much for being an Italian?

  10. Given the time ng taping nila walang time makapag practice. Yung kakilala nalang niyang Italian paganapin niya dun

    1. eh si matteo nga sinasabihan. since he's half italian, matteo should know the accent of an italian speaking in english right? ewan dian kay teddy

  11. In fairness, dapat mas gayahin ni Matteo / Gian Carlo yung accent ni Roberto sa show, para mas authentic. Take it as a constructive criticism. Si Liza and Cherie Gil nga OK na Italian accent nila and Enrique tama na yung lisp nya, natural na.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Si Liza nawawala accent minsan pag pinansin mo talaga. Opinion lang po.

      Delete
I find their latest series dragging and like a fairy tale story na pang montessori. Feeling ko tuloy parang nasira yung momentum nila sa Forevermore na hit, compared dito sa DA na too good to be true. Pahirap pa yang mga accent na yan. They could have given them a better and more relatable storyline.

      Delete

  26. Is Mang Teddy blind? Here we have a fairly decent show in Dolce Amore, and he has the nerve to compare it with the poorly-made remake of Pangako Sa Yo?! Seriously? I thought he is meticulous when it comes to good acting? Tsk!

I don't see anything wrong with the Italian-English accent of Matteo, Cherie and the Roberto actor. Matteo is a good actor too. Tsk!

    1. Expert in Italian ka teh? Baka hanggang pizza lang alam mo.

      Delete
    2. So??? What's the big fuss? Only this "boy" is bashing matteo..the rest are fans of Dolce! Matteo is just portraying a role and he's doing great, we watch teleseryes to be entertained not to become harsh critics after all, they're not vying for an Oscar! Keep your big mouth shut TBL! Too bad you carry a famous name, pls don't mar the name of your father! You're getting too bakya for comfort! Or an early sign of 'sundowner'?!

      Delete
    3. So itallian ka to say that?

      Delete
    4. Guys no one needs to be Italian to notice Matteo's overdoing the Italian accent. There's no big fuss 1:55, this is just an observation some people dont agree with just because Matteo's good looking. Pati sa pagiging singer, he's claiming to have studied music abroad, but when you hear his voice nya waley sa tono! mas gugustuhin mo pa makinig kay april boy! hahaha

      Delete
    5. Based from observation pala have you ever been to Italy yung ibang parts ng Italy mas grabe pa nga yung accent nila kesa yung Italian ni Matteo. Hehe

      Delete
    6. @9:20 As a matter of fact yes I have been to different parts of Italy and have Italian friends. May I ask if you have been there? People just cant accept opinions. Matteo's pretentious accent is very obvious. I get it he won't be able to speak authentic Italian if he wasn't born there, but Cherie Gil clearly was not as well. Yet she speaks more fluently than Matteo with a more legit accent. Same goes with Liza, her effort to speak Italian is admirable.

      Delete
  29. Elitist snob talaga itong si Ted

    ReplyDelete
  30. Teddy is not even pure Italian to comment that something is wrong with the way Matteo does his Italian/English accent in Dolce Amore.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Infairness naman ksi talaga, yung accent ng ibang casts eh pa-Russian na eh di na Italian haha but kudos to them for trying kahit mahirap itawid ang accent.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Russian? Ang layo naman! A good friend of mine is Russian and she doesn't sound anything near the Italian accent of the cast of DA.

      Delete
    2. I bet you wouldn't be able to distinguish Russian from Italian in real life.

      Delete
Their Italian accent is not on point which I understand kasi di naman sila Italian ano and they don't have the time to perfect it kaya nga sabi ko kudos sa kanila for trying.

      Delete
    4. Kasi ang dami naman puedeng madali at realistic na teleserye, ito pang pahirap na may accent ang pinagawa now kela Liza and Enrique. Prone to bashing tuloy. I know the station wants something different to offer to their audience, but series which has this kind of themes gets to be boring. Their acting is good but honestly, pinoys cannot relate to it. Make the story simple, then less stress for the actors. Viewers are already tired. They just want to watch and relax.

      Delete
    5. 3.06 ang layo ng Italian accent sa Russian. Mukhang hindi mo talaga ang difference. Mema lang.

  59. I do agree with Teddy. Filipino Actors speaking Italian in Dolce Amore should just try to relax speaking it like the real Italian actor part of it who speaks his lines slowly and with emphasis. Sa madaling salita, wag OA.

    ReplyDelete

    1. That's right. Matteo should get tips from the actor playing as his father.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Liza loses the Italian accent at times. She also speaks fast and tends to shift to her American accent. And her Tagalog in the show is so fluent for someone who grew up not talking to a Filipino regularly since her Yaya left. For me Matteo has more authentic Italian accent than Liza.

      Delete
  61. That's the reason nga why they chose Matteo for the Italian role because he's half-Italian. Teddy Locsin knows everything. He should replace Boy na rin sa TWBA.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I think the casting is perfect. Can you imagine Kathniel or Jadine doing what Liza and Quen are doing in the Show? And Mateo is fine. He admitted being rusty in speaking Italian.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. anon 1:21, Locsin was not against the casting of Liza and Enrique. Why put Jadine in the picture??? I can't imagine Liza and Enrique doing Otwol too. Mind you, I am rooting for Lizquen. Sorry, I still prefer the simplicity of the story of Forevermore, than the fairy tale like story of Dolce Amore.

      Delete
    2. Of courss they can do OTWOL better 5:49. Mas mahirap kaya roles nila sa Dolce compared dun. Teddyboy is a LizQuen fan kaya lagi yang may comment na connected sa LQ.

      Delete

There are roles suited for each actors in this industry. Some could portray and deliver their roles, some just couldn't. Dolce Amore is just too much effort for the main characters to do. It should have been a movie instead. On point lahat sa mga characters nila. Tapos agad ang hirap. Sorry, but this teleserye with all these italian accents and bulol scenes is just too much for everyday viewing. Para akong nanonood ng zarsuela. This Dolce Amore is not a good follow up for the hit Forevermore. What a pity to the talents of the main actors of the show.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Eh di wow! Malamang alam mo na Matteo grew up in Cebu that's why may accent sya even when he speaks Tagalog. Mema ka.

      Delete
    2. 1.24 I've been to Sardinia and when the locals spoke in English it sounded totally different to say someone from Genoa or Calibria. Matteo's accent sounded funny to you and Ted because it's not what you're used to. Say a Cebuana started speaking in Tagalog even though fluent it may have a slight Bisaya accent in it. It doesn't make it less authentic.

      Delete
  68. Teddy Boy needs to ______. Something is going on in his head. I used to live in a community here in Canada where most residents are Italians. My former landlord is an Italian. Yes, they do speak the way I hear it on Dolce Amore. Spot on talaga. Kung pinanood ko man ang ibang episodes ng PSY sa tfc.tv eh dahil sa CharDawn, Jody and Ian and Angelica lang wala ng iba. The originial PSY of K and E were better. His choice of which PSY is better is a reflection of.... his taste?

Patandang-paurong talaga. Akala ko ba well travelled and well read siya. ReplyDelete
  76. Matteo's Fatherside was from Venice, Italy so Matteo's accent is more of the Northeastern side of Italy. Iba din and accent pag ibang parts ng Italy like the Island of Sicily at Sardinia. They usually have a thicker accent. I've been to differents parts of Italy and I studied there for four years that's why I know. Knowing just one member of a family is not even valid to conclude if the accent is right or wrong. Zero credibility na talaga si Mr. Locsin sa pinagsasabi nya lately it's better for him to stop giving his know-it all opinion. He thinks his better than everybody pero di naman pala.

  79. May iba't ibang region ang Italy, hence the accents may differ.

  83. To be fair I literally just saw an ep.of Dolce Amore a couple of days ago and I also thought Matteo's "italian" accent sounded ridiculous.

    1. Go to Italy my dear and see for yourself if it sounds ridiculous or it sounds normal. Halata talaga yung nakapunta na sa Italy at yung nagmamarunong Lang.

  85. Matteo's Italian accent is perfectly fine. Fanboy lang ni Liza si Manong Teddy. Though I like Liza, her accent is the one lacking authenticity.

  86. Mas napapansin ko on and off accent ni lisa. Pag nagtagalog sya walang italian accent pag nagenglish biglang italian accent na at di pa consistent.

    1. Korek ka dyan. Nakakainis lang. I like Liza pero hindi nia nabibigyan ng justice ung role nia. Sana lang she spent more time to study or practice the language. Hayyyysss..

  87. i think he purposely comments about artistas para mapagusapan sya.. he's not relevant anymore.. so to be relevant, he talks about sikat na artista..

  88. Actually ok lang kung ganun ang tingin ni mr.locsin, to each his own. Pero ang hindi ok eh yung i-conclude agad niya na ganun ang opinion nung netizen just because she's a fan when she already mentioned basing her opinion on her experience interacting with italians.

  89. kung naiirita sya sa accent ni matteo, d ba mas nakakairita ang pagsasalita ni enrique?i stopped watching it kasi d ko na matake ang pagkabulol nya.i dont know whats with the writers mind but for me, its not working.its annoying.

    1. For me, it's about time that Pinoy teleseryes have leads that are imperfect physically. Hindi budoy levels. Tenten as a character has a major speech issue but his other traits compensate for that.

  90. Well I'm no expert when it comes to italian accents pero whenever I hear Matteo speak english & filipino with that italian accent it reminds me of our parish priest na galing Turin Italy.. as in ganun na ganun magsalita including all the nuances.. so i have to say it it pretty "authentic" to me..

    1. Different regions in Italy has various ways of pronouncing the stressed "e", "s" and other sounds. English is not a common language there that's why if you hear or speak to an Italian they usually add eh at the end because they used a lot of the "e" in their language. Fyi lang so as not to be ignorant.

  98. If he was as intelligent as he likes to think he is, then he would know not all accents are alike. Accents differ depending on the region of Italy they're from (same can be said for PI as well as other countries). Matteo's accent in the show actually sounds a lot like someone I know who is from the Southern region of Italia.

  99. Ikaw na ang Italian, Teddy.

  100. It is very ignorant to assume all Italians have one single accent. It depends on the region TBL. For someone who comes from the Philippines with people having assorted accents kakahiya ang faux pas mo. Educated ka diba? Refund your parents! They wasted their money on you.
