  2. Sana ipalabas sa TFC.TV ito para mapanuod all over the world.

  3. Maganda ang trailer. Pero 8 hour is 8 hours. Di ko matatagalan.

    2. In other words, more than 8 hours ng buhay mo ang ibibigay mo sa lech**g pelikula na yan.

LOL

  5. Piolo pascual & John lloyd cruz?? And others?? E ensemble cast to ah.

    1. Sadly.

    2. @1:42 Oo sana, kaso given na 8 hrs to, malilimit nila audience nla. Kahit interesado ka, not everyone has 8 hrs to spare.

  6. Promising to. I'll take the challenge! :)

On your own time, no pressure, wala pang bayad. You can take away what you get as a reader and visualize in your mind the beauty and tragedy of the story, its characters, the scenery, as told by Dr. Jose Rizal. Get back in touch with your history on your own recognizance and not be "forced" to sit out a long as* film adaptation by an egotistical artsy director. Obra daw niya yan. Kaya sige, if you want to massage his ego, go spend 8-10 hours of your day watching this film, because you know, that IS THE ONLY way it can be shown or it ruins the "masterpiece." #tsktsktsktsk #narcissisticmuch

    2. Obviously you have not seen the film because your synopsis is far from it. Lol! Huwag magpa critic o magpaka all knowing if you have not seen it. FYI sa March 26 pa ang showing. Lol!

    3. Bad insight. Halatang may galit ka sa director or sa people behind the material. Kung hindi mo gusto ang isang artwork, kumuda ka depende sa outcome, sa execution, sa nakikita mo, how it affects you. But never attack the people behind it on a personal level. Or their process. That's totally dense.

    4. 10.52, I think 1.55 is simply saying that he's/she's not gonna watch it because it's not worth his/her time, and would rather just read Rizal's novels. There's nothing in the comment that tells me that 1.55 is acting like a know-it-all, nor is there anything cryptic his/her opinion on the matter. In fact the comment is quite straightforward.
      - Not 1.55 #peace

    5. @10:42 tutuo naman sinabi ni 1:55am. If you know Lav Diaz, he doesnt make films for the audience. He makes it for himself, and not to please the audience or to suit anyone's taste. Thats his brand of art.

      Delete
    6. 10:42 obviously you're not getting the point of 1:55 din.

      Delete
    8. 3:48pm well that's a bad analysis.

I don't know lav diaz or any of the part of this film personally. But I am an enthusiast and I support passionately-done films. Yes, we all know that this is not the best filipino film but I admire their courage & being daring to push through this concept. Well sa akin lang, sana kung gagawa ng review, o ng critic ng any form of art, paki-taas ang antas, gamitan ng utak, hindi yung basta ayaw lang, yung basta nainis lang, yung basta di lang gusto or whatever.

    10. 9:11 so far wala namang namemesonal kay Lav Diaz dito. Wala naman pumuna sa hitsura nya or anything personal. Work lang nya ang pinuna. So gusto mo nang review? Last sunday was a very excruciating experience to spend ur precious time fora work of someone feeding his ego to the hilt. I could only give him my two hours and walk out na. It was informative with very little concern for viaual or respect to audience's time. Immersion on the scene? If you are real artist, you can convey the message in the shortest time possible.

  10. I can watch a film this long, given that many of the actors/actresses are really very good with their craft. Given that the film have international awards, I expect it to be really good.

Many are complaining about the length, and I understand that time can be an issue. The thing there though is that I remember some people during my teens who went out to watch Titanic in the early morning and came out only after the last full show. They've watched it the whole day, several times literally. So I believe that if the film's really great, you can stay in the cinema that long.

  11. Mmmm. Parang di ako convinced. Parang di bagay sina JLC at PP sa ganitong klaseng pelikula. Plus it's 8 hours long jusko babasahin ko nalang uli ang Fili.

  12. I will buy the DVD when it comes out. Para pwede mag bathroom break. Sayang naman kung me mamiss di ba? :P

  16. finally, it was shown last Sunday. the movie has a point but Lav Diaz is just in Diva Mode for this movie. He wants us to bear with his "masterpiece" in all its 8 hour glory but the story can be told in two hours or less. It is not visually enthralling, and the dubbing is worst. But i should credit him for that flawless malalim na tagalog and creativity. Ang daming gustong talakayin ng pelikulang ito. Dahil sa haba, you would ask, why do i have to bear his super slow phasing? As in real time sa pagkain ng mga nilagang saging na para bang di ba natin alam ang mga bagay na yun. One thing is sure, Lav Diaz is not visual. Sana magsulat na lang siya ng book...
