In all honesty... it's her private life, etc. But... it's beginning to rub the wrong way. She won the crown, she sought out for, for a very long time... yet, this is what she does and concentrates on? Can't she let lose... when she's gone from the public eye, at least? When she's no longer wearing the crown? It's just... so... disappointing. It's like she's no different from the Columbian contestant. DeleteI used to admire her pero after winning the pageant, parang lumilitaw na wala talaga siyang substance. Hindi nga ramdam yung mga advocacies niya. Nor do we see any proof that she is carrying on the responsibilities that are part of her reign as Ms. Universe. Its starting to feel more like a big letdown after the euphoria.

I thought the same. Megan Young really wanted to crown... not for the fame or popularity... but because she knows it can bring about awareness, inspiration, etc. She had the right heart and she's very inspirational. I was even watching her interviews and what a difference. She took her role seriously. It was inspiring. This beautiful Filipina girl, who was so intelligent and beautiful, yet she cared about so many things... she wasn't focused on partying, on hanging out, etc. Rather... she was focused on using that fame while she's Ms. World... to inspire... to impact, even just a bit of change.

DeleteIn all honesty... it's her private life, etc. But... it's beginning to rub the wrong way. She won the crown, she sought out for, for a very long time... yet, this is what she does and concentrates on? Can't she let lose... when she's gone from the public eye, at least? When she's no longer wearing the crown? It's just... so... disappointing. It's like she's no different from the Columbian contestant. The crown was merely a tool to gain fame but not really a tool to spread "goodness, good example, etc." like she supposedly wanted to exemplify. I feel like Megan was the only one who took her role seriously as a "Ms. World" and chose to exemplify Filipinas as both intelligent and beautiful. Pia is so disappointing.

Sana naman yun yung ipinakikita mo sa mga tao. Hay nakakadisappoint. :( Hindi ako magugulat kung lahat ng meron ka ngayon mawawala nalang ng isang iglap kasi hindi mo iniingatan.
