Kinda hard to prove. Divorce is more of like "i just don't like it anymore"..
Ah ganoon? Thanks for sharing. Now I know. Thanks.
Same here, I didn't change name. Mi Madre was asking me why. Hahaha. I told her as a Muslim (I converted), I'm not obliged to drop my former surname to use my husband's. It's the best decision actually, you don't get issues with your papers. And besides, it doesn't make you less as a married woman if you don't adopt your spouse's surname.
Clearly, a married woman has an option, but not a duty, to use the surname of the husband in any of the ways provided by Article 370 of the Civil Code. She is not prohibited from continuously using her maiden name once she is married because when a woman marries, she does not change her name but only her civil status.
Yes, it's in our family code. Wives have the option not to adopt the family name of their husbands. But once they adopted the name of the husbands, wives cannot revert to the maiden name.
Am married for 10 years. Never changed my surname. Ang Dami documents na papalitan so I stick with mine. No problem naman Sa asawa Ko. Sa Pinas Lang dapat palitan agad.
Just noticed. Unless dinoktor ni sunshine ung nasa folder just to make her post catch more attention?

ReplyDeleteBut yes, Pinas needs divorce.

ReplyDeleteme too! hassle eh!
DeleteMe too, I did not. So I've no issues with my docs.
DeleteAm married for 10 years. Never changed my surname. Ang Dami documents na papalitan so I stick with mine. No problem naman Sa asawa Ko.
ReplyDeleteWhy we need a divorce law. Honestly real talk? Kawawa ang girls. Let's not put religion
ReplyDeleteInto this please. Ty.
ReplyDeleteHalata nmn kasi papansin eh. Para mapagusapan. Kamote n l g d makakapansin sa apelyido nyang gamit. Sus. Bunganga
