  1. Re: card expiry, upon purchasing their tickets, they could have been informed of their expiration to think they are Elite cardholders naman.

Also, yes. It was an urgent incident. The person-in-charge could have allowed the little bathroom break.

Am sure, given the same circumstances, you wouldn't dare do that in other countries where your name will not matter

      Delete
    2. Kung life threatening emergency yun pwede sana pero kung tamad o nadiri lang silang mag use ng normal CR hell no.

    3. andun na kasi sila, at naiihi na mga bata, ilang beses nya pang pinakausapan. v. simple request and since theyre flying business class ineexpect din nila mga maluwag na rules. for goodness sake iihi lang mga bata! walang customer service, rules are rules pero sa mga members or vip kahit na ba kakaexpire lang ng card, special ang treatment, napakasimple lang naman ng request! i'd do the same if i were in her position, rant through social media, so that these rules will be reviewed. or customer service be improved!

      Delete
    4. people are flying business class so they expect top service. sabihin na nating powertripping kung ano pa man yan, but they paid for your service so give them top service. besidesit is a simple request, kung hindi sigurado yung attendant, she could hv asked for her superior's permission.

    5. Another power tripping at its finest. You are not cool!

      Delete
    6. I think her kids are old enough to be able to hold their pee for a few minutes. So no, its not urgent.

      Delete
    7. The way to the Mabuhay lounge is thru the elevator.. Puwede ring stairs...

I should know because I am also a Mabuhay miles Elite member of PAL.

      Delete
    8. I wouldn't call it urgent. More like INCONVENIENT for her and her kids. She did have the CHOICE to just accept it and run to the other toilet.

      Delete
    9. No. Thats the reason why elite cards has expiry. Sorry to say and sorry for the kids, but the rules has been practiced even before to elite card holders. Just try analyzing using a credit card, if its expired, nag gogo thru ba? No. So please dont put those people in shame for ur mistake. Wag manghilala pababa very pinoystyle.

    10. Classic case of power tripping. You can walk if in the first instance they refuse you.

You can not blame the staff. With all the heighten security alert worldwide they are just doing their job. Being parent she shld sets example to act within the boundaries and not power tripping.

Kung HK bound sya normally nasa middle yung waiting seats sa loob and instead of walking to Mabuhay lounge ehich is at the extreme end she could instead walk to nearest CR na nasa middle ng waiting lounge.

      Delete

      Delete
    12. Kudos to PAL. Rules are rules. If peeing is an emergency case, then go ahead.

      Delete
    13. Its not power tripping, rules are rules. Kung makaka lusot, lulusot. Simply because Mabuhay Lounge toilets are more cleaner and exclusive than ordinary toilets, reason why this lady is pushing her luck. Just follow the rules and move on.

      Delete
Mrs Concio obviously wanted convenience and exclusivity rather than public toilets.

  7. Rules are rules. If they bend it for you because you are a "regular" customer, then good. If not, ranting about it only makes you an entitled spoiled brat. Expired na last month yung card, you are not taveling business class, yung ibang friends ninyo lang. Having been to our airports, there's almost always a restroom that is within reasonable distance from the boarding gates. And to those saying na kawawa yung kids, hindi naman sobrang biglaan dadating yan. Had you gone to the restroom na puwede lahat, it could have saved you time and less "kawawa" for your kids. Bottom line, what you are asking for is special treatment and I do not think it should be a cause of complaint kung hindi pinagbigyan.

Don't blame PAL for your lack of foresight. You should have known your cards expired. If your card expired the day before maybe you could have been given a concession. But a month?! Feeling entitled ka nmn.

In the first place,if you're a respondible parent who di nit just rely on nannies, dapat maging habit nyo to let your kids pee in the instant na makakita ka ng restroom, lalo na kung mag ttravel, hindi yung kung kelan lalabas na saka ka magkandarapa maghanap ng cr. Don't use the excuse na bata yang mga yan and they will only pee pag time na talaga, coz then it will reflect how lousy you are as a parent. And yes i have 3 girls. Because I'd like to think I trained them well, thankfully di p nangyayari na mapaihi sila sa pants nila whether nsa mall or travelling abroad.

      Delete
    5. Is your "I fly via emirates" really necessary? Those are 2 different airlines with different rules. And exactly, there's a reason why Emirates is one of the best airlines in the world. But we're talking about PAL here. If the attendant broke the rule for the pax' "call of nature" then loses her job the next day, will the passenger take responsibility? Of course not. Besides, it's not an emergent situation so breaking the rule is unnecessary.

      Delete
    6. Yung reason na "e bata naman gagamit" is not valid.

Kung ginamit mo na lang ung time mo na makiusap to rush to the proper bathroom eh aabot ung bata. Tama ung isang anon, it could cause other passengers to think na kapag nakiusap din sila, eh ok lang. Kung maka arte kayo sa kapwa nyo Pinoy sa sariling bansa eh daig nyo pa kung sinong monarch pero if this happened in another country I'm pretty sure tumakbo na kayo sa proper bathroom and would just follow the rules. Why not rant abt not having a bathroom closer to gates?

I think yun issue here is madumi yun restroom naten and if you are part of upper middle class to very rich it would be hard for u to use our restroom dahil kadiri at mabaho pa.

  38. Instead of arguing with rules you could have just used that time to walk to the public restroom or paid for that Mabuhay lounge to use its CR.

  39. I also have 2 little ones but it would be unfair to those in The Mabuhay Lounge who paid a lot of money to use that facility. We live in a society where we should respect rules. She has no right to rant on PAL because the employee is only fulfilling her duties.

  45. Normally there is a general rule to follow. But kaya nga kailangan ng human being eh dahil hindi lahat ng rules you need to strictly apply. And for PAL i would be surprise kapag sasabihin nila that rules are rules coz there will always be cases that you deviate on rules.

  47. I can see from comments na hati talaga ang mga pinoy in terms of discipline. Mrs concio, if you're trying to be a normal citizen, sundin mo ung rules. Sana ginamit nalang niya ung connection nya, wala pang problem. Sana tumakbo nalang sila sa toilet instead of wasting time to discuss. Mkikita mo agad kung high flyer or not, at reason ng expiration- non payment or card on its way.

Her kids must have been holding their pee and waited till they can't hold it any longer. yes kids are kids but the situation smacks of non discipline. Tsk tsk. As a Mom, we always have bathroom breaks. Pag dating sa is an place my first question to my kids is, "Anyone needs to go?" 67.

Pag expired ang card expired na kahit saang airlines even the best on the list...

Lounge access at pasuyo, no exception yan again sa lahat ng airlines kahit top best pa...pag walan access wala talaga..

Courtesy is only given on life threatening or extenuating circumstances

Now if they were allowed as a courtesy good, pero pag hindi pinayagan wag ba mag inarte, mga airport natin bawat sulok may CR...

...sa mga nagsasabi kesyo bata yun, hindi pa din excused, pag nang didiri, always bring alcohol, anti bacterial wipes, some water, so you can clean it before using it..
