DeleteLady Gaga might be eccentric but she's just so talented. She didn't flub, she sang so neatly with the piano accompaniment, and that's so difficult with the very big crowd and planes flying by.

Delete3:16 Huh? I love singers that can keep their composure and sing live in front of the massive crowd and viewers. Cristina Aguilera is a good belter, yet messed up the anthem during her time. And if I admire Lady Gaga when she does jazz or classical music, that's because she's so worth it.

DeleteSorry 2:18 but the queen of the little monsters did. She rendered an earnest solid rendition of the national anthem that transcended beyond the screens. The producers did a great job of choosing her to sing it considering it is the biggest , most watched , very American and the most traditional event in the US. She was phenomenal ! She is not only one of the most talented vocalist in history but she is the most apt representative and advocate of the changing times. She is teaching the kids in these times that misfits and outcasts do have a place in mainstream society. It is ok to accept one's quirkiness , uniqueness and individuality.

Delete3:10 Oh sweetie! No she didn't. It's been over 20 yrs since Whitney performed the anthem and yet she's still the standard for all the successive performers. Whenever the Superbowl week comes, that Whitney performance always gets an homage on sports networks here in the US.

ReplyDeleteSyempre kasi nasa batas natin ang tamang tono at tempo ng lupang hinirang. Tsaka ang turo satin sa school is tumayo ng tuwid, kanang kamay sa dibdib at sabay sabay awitin. That's what we should follow. Obviously they do it differently in the US.

ReplyDeleteI dont get all the hype lady gaga is getting. There's nothing extraordinary with her performance. It's not like we didnt know she can sing. I mean oo she can but wala namang kamangha-manga dun. She did well, yes, but all these hype? OA ha!
