Understanding the Missing Connections

The intertwining of relationships makes everything connected and complicated. To understand the effects, one has to go back to the main cause and trace the chain of events that have left several hearts broken.

Just as when Celebrity Performer (CP) thought she found the right man in Good-looking Talent (GT), time proved that he was not worth her time and sacrifices at all. After being together for a number of years, people thought that CP and GT will soon be tying the knot. With their successful careers and obvious love for each other, their relationship seemed to be secure. However, GT strayed. He alone knows why he gave in to temptation, which he thought he could keep hidden.

One night, GT had a tryst with a model. While things seemed settled and CP not knowing about his infidelity, an alleged revelation threatened their relationship. GT had to confess to his crime, as that one night allegedly brought fruit. GT was going to be a father. Thinking that CP would find it in her heart to forgive him, he owned up to what happened. Unfortunately, the hurt was too much and CP broke up with GT. Think about it, breakups happen because of a major reason and that reason would always have something to do with cheating.

Similarly, Adorable Idol (AI) thought he found the right one in Versatile Figure (VF), but he could not help himself. AI was making other women happy in the same way he was making VF joyful. Of course, he kept all these side encounters a secret, but a woman will always sense something was off. Out of frustration and even boredom, VF met up with a Male Celebrity (MC) and they even went to his secret place somewhere out of the city. AI was away for work at that time and his relationship with VF was already treading on soft ground.

Naturally, AI confronted VF, as he could not help but think that something happened between VF and MC. The discussion turned into an argument and soon each one was accusing the other of infidelity. Using MC as his weapon, VF retaliated that she knew about the other women, who were both involved behind the scenes. Thus, things were turning ugly.

As VF had time on her hands, she went on a trip with the hope that AI would follow. Instead, AI opted to stay put. At this time, AI and CP had to work together given that they were only in one station. As both were experiencing trouble in their relationships, constant talks and confiding in each other led to closeness. The bond was getting deeper. While things seemed to be perfectly hidden under the guise of professionalism, one of the women (OW) whom AI was secretly seeing, started to notice that AI was not as warm as before. One plus one equals the realization that AI was now focused on CP.

Behaving like she was the one who was scorned, OW got slighted at the developing relationship between AI and CP. Perhaps, OW thought she had AI wrapped around her finger just like so long ago. Time has matured AI and he knows women gravitate towards him.

Thus, OW revealed to VF that the relationship between AI and CP was more than professional. Hoping that she would keep AI, VF had to suffer from learning the truth – AI was slipping away. As to who gets the last laugh is ironic. GT has to move on, not knowing that he sort of triggered a series of unfortunate events. VF is still smarting from being dumped. MC, like the gentleman that he is, might be the shoulder to cry on for VF, but he’s already taken. Meanwhile, AI and CP, if indeed they have an eye for each other, must develop courage to face the public as a real couple. Finally, the foil, OW, whom no one thought could link all these painful narratives together.
