    2. Hindi sa natatakot! Remember, not all people have the same religious beliefs. In the western countries, Both racism and gender discrimination is a big no no. Even bullying if I must say. Discrimination is discrimination!

    6. Am still thankful that in the Philippines the majority believe in God and His Word. It is sad that in the States people who stand for what the Bible teaches are discriminated against, having difficulty defending themselves. Being politically correct takes precedence over what is ethical. Prayer is not allowed in schools, the Ten Commandments are no longer recognized in many institutions, people who stand for their convictions are persecuted.

      Delete
    7. Ignorant ang Pinoy when it comes to discrimination?

    4. Baks 2:33 basa ka muna ulit. Baka maintindihan ko this time. Clothing sponsorship nga lang daw. How much dollars ka dyan. Gets mo nah? Gusto mo explain ko pa?

      Delete
    5. Anon 2:33 Isa ka sa maraming Filipino na napakpurol ng utak when it comes to comprehension! No $ loss for Manny. It is NOT an endorsement but a sponsorship.

    9. God is bigger than NIKE. His faith is bigger than anything in this world.

      Delete
    10. 2:33 do you even know the difference between endorsement and sponsorship? I guess not. He was just receiving sponsorship for his fights like shoes, boxers, shirts, jacket. He's not being paid to endorse Nike. Know the difference.

    11. 2:33 clothing sponsorship lg nmn at hindi endorsement deal. For sure kaya ni manny bumili ng shirts and shorts

    17. Lol dont tell me na mababa comprehension ko. You guys need to know the facts. 100mil dollars per year ang binabayad to manny just to wear those sponsored shirts. Stupidity at its finest.lol

      Delete
    18. Do you even watch the news? 2:33 is right according to the a veteran boxing analyst 100m pery year ang income of manny from nike. If you dont understand boxing sport you guys should know that once the boxer used a product in the ring he becomes a walking advetisement, which in this case pacman uses nike shoes in his matches. Thats why he has income from nike. Hahz nagsasalita lang kasi not knowing the facts! Just like ur idol then?hehehe

Iba ang Pilipas to the rest of the world. Some nations won't tolerate it.

Not even a quarter of what Nike earns!Equality is important to the people of Nike and if Manny can't provide that then they have all the rights to fire him.

He maybe lacks of knowledge but contributed so much to our history. Please, if you think you are educated, walk the talk.

  8. Ignorant kasi ang Pilipino when it comes to Racism and Discrimination. Haha!

Now this, I knew na mangyayari 'to. Manny is an international figure. I wouldn't be surprise kung may mag-boycott ng next fight niya to think na sa US mangyayari yun. Oh well, Just be careful na lang next time...

I condemn your first statement about same sex marriage, its really insensitive. On the other hand, I admire you for owning up to your mistake. That's something nobody tolerates. It is a big deal. You can believe whatever you want to believe and live your way that way, but it doesn't make it right for you to judge other ppl who are not like you or believe the same thing as you do.

  30. I fully understand where Manny comes from and his love for his religion. Everyone is allowed to speak their mind and stand on their belief but noone should ever be entitled to discriminate anyone , may it be by color or gender. I think that's what most people in the Philippines don't know. Most institutions/company in the Western world are against GENDER DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM. That's a protocol. Once you are proven guilty, the company has all the rights to dismiss you.

Stand with your religious belief, thats okay! Speak your mind, that's okay! What's not okay is discrimination and racism! Keep in mind that you can always state your opinion without mocking or putting anyone in a bad light. Be careful next time Manny. You're still a hero but for now, let's skip that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. He is a PR nightmare . I don't think any company will be willing to sacrifice their finances , Manny is just an endorser not the brand itself and he is not the only athlete in the planet that can endorse Nike. Therefore the company has more power than Manny. Manny lost his last fight , is an aging athlete. Gets niyo? What company in their right mind would support such ignorant bigot and accept poor sales due to public backlash. He is dispensable, that is the reality. The Pinoy is just a drop in their market, therefore sa mga kuda ng kuda diyang Pinoy Hindi Lang Kayo ang may buying capacity so kahit iboycott niyo yan, it really doesn't matter.

  32. i bet manny is so appealing now to conservative Americans. Kala nyo agree buong United States sa same sex marriage? Kala nyo Lang yun. Even here in California Kung maglaho ang LA at San Francisco sa mapa ng US e mostly conservative ang rest ng cities dito sa Cali, problem is California legislators are playing politics and so liberal. #justsaying

    1. @3:12 I so agree with you. I am one of those here in the US that isn't pro-same sex marriage. And I know a lot more that is not in favor of it. It may not be the popular opinion now because of liberalism and most members of the LGBT are working in mainstream media kaya they have all the means and the platform to spread their belief.

  37. HILARIOUS! Nike is a global brand! They can get athletes like Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Tiger Woods (even if they fired him already), and other BIGGER athletes than Pacquiao. They'll be fine without him.

Nike cares more about their regular customers. Business is business and they've have been around even BEFORE Manny became famous. Oo madami nang pera si Pacquiao ngayon, but it's the reputation that they care about.

    ReplyDelete
Excuse sa iba, tama yan Manny, its better to loose an endorsement than to loose your faith.

  39. It's not really looking good for him. Anyone can have their opinion, but when you word things the way he did...unfortunately sponsors are not so tolerant or forgiving. Reports say that him and his ppl were begging till last minute for him to not get dropped. That fell on deaf ears. He might not think it's a big deal, but when a huge sponsor like Nike drops you...others will follow. Adidas, Under Armour, etc...they're not gonna fall for him either. Why waste their resources and money on someone who's going out the door when they can give that money to someone else? It's business. It's also unfortunate because he's on the end of his career, there's no reason for them to keep him. Boxing is not as relevant anymore compared to UFC and MMA. Those are the real stars now. If I were him, I'd start saving some of my money and not have my wife waste it on designer bags so she can show it off on IG with matching bible verse of the day.

    1. If you actually read the bible, you'd know it was actually "do unto others what you want others to do unto you"

People are by nature filled with pride kaya ayaw na sinasabihan ng truth abt their sins. The truly God-changed, humble person desires correction.
