Bad Effects of the Juxtaposition

The supporting cast of a soon-to-end teleserye is disappointed at the short-run of the said project. The teleserye starred the assumed future box-office talents of the network and was supported by the best performers in the industry. One of them, Competent Actress (CA), was among the hardest hit with regret. CA chose this teleserye over one that starred one of the major talents of the network, which would have lasted longer than this one. With the end of the teleserye, CA will have to wait for a new project. However, CA should not worry because the network will always provide the best talents, such as her, with projects.

Although the teleserye was highly praised with its cast and interesting plot, the series ended sooner than expected. Much could still be done with the characters, but reality says that the ratings were low and ad placement was below expectation. Hence, there was no choice but to end the teleserye. Looking at the cause of such issues, the assumption is that the off-cam actions of the Lead Performer (LP) could have affected the teleserye.

Over the past months, LP has suffered from negative perceptions because of the way she has handled issues. Succeeding incidents in her life indicated that LP was insincere in her actions. This perception made the public lose interest in her, which was such a stark contrast when she started. Hence, LP has had a string of failed projects in terms of ratings and box office receipts. The network tried its best to give her good projects, but external factors have affected her standing.

While getting a show axed is common practice, LP has been negatively affected with the disappointing results of her projects. So affected was LP that she has become unmindful of fans. One time, LP was called with the name of a character of her namesake. At first, she took these instances as a joke, but later on, LP started snubbing people and even refused to pose with fans for souvenir photos. Her behavior was then assumed to be a manifestation of what she was undergoing, which is the uncertainty of her future given her unsuccessful projects.

As always, only time can tell if LP would be able to rise from her predicament and regain the positive image that has eluded her.
