A Secret Agreement

Art makes the world more interesting. When an artist interprets the world, he/she could either impress or disappoint the art-loving public. However, to be known as an artist, one needs to achieve certain recognition in various or specific art disciplines. This recognition can be done once the artist has established his/her own voice of style in the art pieces. Lucky are those who are able to make money from their passion in the arts.

Artists have disagreements and discussions on what makes a piece art or if an artist should charge so much for work, whether commissioned or not. For patrons of the arts, emotions evoked when viewing or experiencing a piece motivate their appreciation for artwork. Sometimes the names of artists are considered and sadly, some immediately praise a piece of work simply because it was made by someone who already has a name. Thus, as intriguing as showbiz is the world of the arts.

When Talented Artist (TA) started to show various pieces done privately, the public was divided between admirers and cynics. Admirers immediately saw beauty in the effort of TA and in the details of the various art pieces. By contrast, cynics doubted the ability of TA. To counteract accusations, TA would post various stages of the progress of certain pieces. Although the price of the services of TA was prohibitive for the common art lover, showbiz personalities, friends, and other rich individuals started to commission TA for various artworks.

Despite the passion and willingness to address the demand of clients, the volume was overwhelming. To keep up with the requests, TA had to ensure promptness even if the list of people waiting for their art pieces grew longer. With orders coming in, TA was assured never to be the ‘starving artist,’ a cliché that has bothered many in the art world. However, here lies the problem. With so many orders and so little time, TA had to find a way to solve the problem and assure untarnished reputation in terms of meeting client demands.

After pondering on the problem, TA found an Unnamed Artist (UA) somewhere in the art capital of a city. Eager not to become a starving artist, UA was bound to secrecy. As orders were coming in, UA took charge of completing and polishing some of the orders for the work of TA. TA allegedly rented a very private place where UA can exclusively work. As part of the deal, UA cannot accept other orders and neither could the agreement with TA be revealed. A public revelation could put TA in bad light and cast doubt on the art pieces TA had done, and such an embarrassing situation is something that TA will not be able to afford these days.

“I thought about how there are two types of secrets: the kind you want to keep in, and the kind you don't dare to let out.” ― Ally Carter

    1. Parang hindi. Artist talaga siya long before she joined showbiz. Dati pa siya may portfolio of her works.

This is H! Ang dami nyang raket it's too impossible for her to finish all of those art pieces. Charrott ka girl!

  23. It is quite intriguing too to still see her doing other projects aside from the "art" thing to think that most legit artists really go reclusive when they do their projects or exhibits, di ba? Si H may time pa sa social events.

  25. polishing and finishing lang naman, but the idea is still from her naman siguro, whoever she is. the question is, is that illegal or unethical as an artist?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. YES! Very unethical for a legit artist like Miranda, Blanco family of Angono (the Art Capital of the Philippines) and Carlos Botong Francisco (one of our National Artist) pero kung katulad ka lang ni H na trying hard okey lang siguro yun tutal may kumakagat sa pamloloko niya.

  32. "Admirers immediately saw beauty in the effort of TA and in the details of the various art pieces. By contrast, cynics doubted the ability of TA. To counteract accusations, TA would post various stages of the progress of certain pieces." S. Look at her I.

    ReplyDelete
  33. S? Nah. S doesn't even have enough time to do that sa dami ng projects niya sa TV and film. Si H 'to. Yun lang ang ginagawa niya lately.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think this is S... base sa title..

    ReplyDelete
Need long time to finished madetalye masyado. Need ng polisher. Unlike H animated style niya. Ska ung iba 2days lng kaya gawin. I think no need for shadow ng style of work niya

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's S. It's right there in the title. It's not H. She's been p a lot more than acting. S on the other hand has been very busy with shows and movies.

    ReplyDelete
  37. H ito!!! Very obvious!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  39. Very easy. This is H! Daming raket e

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hndi ko kilala si S, huhuhu, more clues

    ReplyDelete
  41. Si S ito base sa title.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Based on the last line, "such an embarrassing situation is something that TA will not be able to afford these days.", I therefor conclude na this is H.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Si H ito, halos lahat maisabay niya, and not S.

    ReplyDelete
  44. easy peasy! none other than the H!!!

    ReplyDelete

"Admirers immediately saw beauty in the effort of TA and in the details of the various art pieces. By contrast, cynics doubted the ability of TA. To counteract accusations, TA would post various stages of the progress of certain pieces"

Si S ung nagpopost ng pictures ng work in progress

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nagbebenta ba si S? Si H ang nagbebenta. Para siyang si The Flash , parang may factory. Maya't maya may inilalabas. Saan siya kumukuha ng oras? Wag nang pagpilitang si S eto.

    ReplyDelete

Kulong yan.

    ReplyDelete
  49. kawawa naman yung legitimate na artist nya..

    ReplyDelete
  50. S! Clues are "intricate" and "steps."

    ReplyDelete
  51. Bakit naman kasi may clients sya? Haha. Posers. That doesn't make her an "artist". So the posers that make up her clients, they're getting what they deserve for patronizing mediocrity. Si UA ang kawawa, sya ang may true talent but because those that have money like to pretend they are artists and art connoisseurs - this is what we have. If they really do their homework, they would be lining up to buy UA's original works and not TAs. Then UA wouldn't have to feel compelled to take the offer of TA just to make ends meet.
