Megastar Sharon Cuneta is selling her megamansion in Calabasas, CA.

The popular Filipino singer, actor, spokesmodel, and TV personality also dabbles in real estate: Her Southern California home is on the market for $2.2 million.

Cuneta may have had a change of heart on the property over the past year. In 2014, she posted photos of the six-bedroom home on Facebook, calling it, “Home. Thousands of miles away. Our ‘happy place,’” adding a smiley face emoticon.

There’s plenty to smile about with this property built in 1997: The 6,610-square-foot estate hits a high note with a grand marble entry, custom library, chef’s kitchen with a breakfast room, formal living room with fireplace, family room, and numerous bedrooms.

Entertainment options abound. Step outside to an expansive lawn, relax under a covered patio, cook up a meal on the grill, or take a dip in the pool and spa, which include a waterfall.

And the singer had a connection to the area. She performed to a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles in 2005 and had spoken of someday retiring in the U.S.

But someday is not today, at least not for this Calabasas mansion. Despite the perks of California living, maybe for the 49-year-old, home is still in the Philippines.

  1. Concert $2.2 million into Philippines peso that would be like close to 1 billion pesos. Wow! Is that how rich she is? Yet they're very humble.

Mahal kasi masyado.

      Delete

    37. She bought it for 2m in 2010. She's not going to make any money with 2.2m, 132k max ang commission. With the upkeep and property taxes for the 5 years, she's actually losing money. Not a good investment.

      Delete
    38. Sobrang bilib na naman kayo. In the US, you don't buy a house in cold cash. Hulugan yan mga teh! 25-30-yrs term. Whoever will buy that house will assume the loan ng bahay and Sharon will get the equity earned ng property.

  2. If they are rarely there, maintaining this property and paying taxes may not be so worth it. It's a nice house and a good investment.

      Delete
    2. Not a good investment at all. She bought it in 2000 for 2m. After commissions, upkeep, taxes, she will be losing money.

      Delete
    3. 3:48 At that time it might have been good. The house is in a popular neighborhood. But plans change, and this place might not be home for them anymore. Hopefully she'll get a fair bargain selling her property.

Baka kailangan ng campaign funds ni Kiko or baka there is better investment opportunities elsewhere?

Factor in, the real estate agent's cut, taxes, etc as well as maintenance costs over the years, wonder if it's really worth it. And for sure, pinarenovate nya yan. Does she rent the house if they're not there? I doubt it though.
