A common misunderstanding that when hoisted vertically, the PH flag should have red stripe sa left at blue sa right. THAT's WRONG. Yung nasa left hand corner (when horizontal) should have be the same when hung vertically. So yung blue na ang nasa LEFT dapat. Mali yung thinking na basta itinayo mo lang. Think of the US Flag. Yung stars palaging nasa left hand corner. Ganyan din sa PH flag.
The red white and blue is from the color of Masonic France following the Masonic french revolution, the sun with face and 8 rays is the Jesuit Dandelion, the three stars is the eye inside the triangle! Any other meaning like 3 stars means luzon ekek mindanao and the suns 13 rays the 13 ek ek province whatever are just modern inventions....see history of the philippine flag to know more! pwede ba sa akala mo kung sinong nationalistic na mga plastic. ni hindi nyo siguro alam kung kelan ang flag day, ni hindi nyo siguro iwinawagayway ang watawat pag flag day, ni hindi nyo siguro binibigyang pansin ang watawat pag nadadaanan ninyo, ni hindi kayo nagrereklamo pag nakikita nyong sinusunog ng kapwa-pilipino ang sariling watawat natin.
Hayyy, our country may be a bit 'efffed up in so many aspects, but please nman give the utmost respect & effort when it comes to giving honor to our flag.
If you're facing the flag, the blue side should be on the left.

First post is correct. 2nd is wrong. Red must be in right side if ts hang vertically!
