Check Maine's social media post about the award. She's as baffled as you are. But the smart person that she is, she still accepted the award lest people like you say more nasty things about her.

Deserve or not nandyan na yan. There's always a first in everything, besides she has a lifetime to get another one or more and prove to bashers she deserves one. Besides, she's made to choose between two evils, to receive or not to receive, she just chose the lesser of the two, and that is receive it. She knew pretty well that if she will refuse the award kandatuwad na naman ang mga bashers sa pagkuda ng kasiraan nya. So chill! An award is still an award! Congrats, Menggay. Get the next one and make this award an inspiration to be better in your craft. One day when you get a best actress in a comedy performance nganga lahat yang mga nega na yan. Cheers!

Hindi talaga nya deserve pero as if may magagawa pa siya but to accept. Wag na gawan ng issue pagaccept bec everyone but the fans and bashers is so over this mmff debacle. Kadiri talaga ang galawan ng mmff
I like maine. I subscribed her channel sa youtube even before na hindi pa sya lumalabas sa tv. I find her smart funny and witty. but I think mas deserve ng ibang nominee yung award. MMFF really lost their credibility. Baka super fan c Maine ng mga juror.
Sa MMFF kayo magalit if you feel Maine did not deserve to win. Don't be nasty towards her because she has been gracious and classy in this whole controversy.
