It's doubtful that the network bosses will respond unless it has already blown up big time to their faces. They are the main support for the characters to make the story true enough for the viewers.

Pero I think I understand why mas maiinit ang ulo niya sa extra siguro dahil mas madaling palitan, it's wrong pero kung main stars ang nakaway niya baka mag quit at mas malaking issue at mapapagalitan siya ng star magic. Pero dapat more respect on her part kasi kung ako yun baka umiyak ako, nakaksakit sa damdamin sabihan ng tanga at pahiya sa ibang tao.

Koya isipin mo na lang ang mga ofw na iginapang ng mga magulang makatapos lang sa pinakamataas na unibersidad sa pilipinas pero kung utus utusan at sigaw sigawan ng ibang lahi na di naman nakaapak ng unibersidad sa kanilang bansa e ganun ganun na lamang. I was never really impressed by Cathy Garcia Molina as a director. Commercial success,yes, according to the standards of the industry. But her body of work was not something that can be compared with that of a Bernal, Brocka or some of great directors of past and beyond. A legacy of forgettable movies with nothing of significance. ABS CBN lang naman ang nagpalaki ng ulo ng director na ito.

It's doubtful that the network bosses will respond unless it has already blown up big time to their faces. Really, the script should be there in the first place, and treat others in the set with respect. Treat them as humans, speak with dignity. You wanna vent off steam? Don't take it out with other people because that is abuse. The extras are there to make the show as realistic as possible. They are the main support for the characters to make the story true enough for the viewers.

A very close friend of mine who experienced working for ABS witnessed the difference in work ethics of the bosses compare to GMA bosses. Mas nagtagal sya sa GMA.

Obviously, had the director or the staffs knew that who they were offensively taking on; that these people have real jobs, and from a great academic background, that have a power to retaliate in this classy and intelligent manner, they would have treated them better. Goes to show how people should treat other people with respect, even the small time players.

Deleteso sad for the extras working in tv and disappointed that such director's behavior is being tolerated. i just remembered what my friend told me before. her late father used to work as stunman in movies. since extras don't get paid much despite the dangers that job entails (esp for doubles), they were given financial assistance by great actors like fpj, erap and dolphy. thus the creation of mowelfund, that extended to their families' welfare. are there still successful actors or moviemakers who think about workers below them? if they can tolerate them being humiliated, i highly doubt it.

ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for this guy who had to go through this type of humiliation. I agree that anyone should not go through the 'pagmumura' to get things done. However, i blame his girlfriend as well. And whoever told him it was 'ok' to fill someone else's shoes. First off, wala cyang background about theater. And i'm sure yung mga taga teatro have their own 'culture', whatever that is. I think yung director, walang pasensya for first timers and she has no idea that he was a newbie. Syempre, it does not justify what she did. Secondly, if you don't know what you're getting into, my advice is, DON'T DO IT. Oh well, punto lang din naman ng letter sender is he just wants to be treated with dignity. Sadly, we don't get that all the time. In all professions, we suffered some indignities at one time or another on diff levels. Go ask an intern before he got his medical degree, a lawyer or a nurse.

I also don't buy yung 'ganyan talaga ang kalakaran sa showbiz industry.' Ano yun hahayaan nalang natin? Kaya maraming naaabuso eh because of that lame excuse. Kawawa naman pala mga extras natin when they're just doing what they love best or they're doing it to bring food for their families.

Minsan yung shinushoot nila ng umaga, mismong kinagabihan din ipapalabas, meron silang hinahanol na oras, kaya bawal ang tanga sa set. Dapat presence of mind lagi. Meron talagang mga boss na palamura, kahit saang industry. Kung mahina ang loob mo talagang magqquit ka..sabi nga walang personalan, trabaho lang. In demand kasi at blockbusters mga movies nya pero kinain na sya ng industriya kaya mahirap na baguhin. I doubt kun may action dyan si Cory Vedanez. These vultutres stick together. Pero I think I understand why mas maiinit ang ulo niya sa extra siguro dahil mas madaling palitan, it's wrong pero kung main stars ang nakaway niya baka mag quit at mas malaking issue at mapapagalitan siya ng star magic. Pero dapat more respect on her part kasi kung ako yun baka umiyak ako, nakaksakit sa damdamin sabihan ng tanga at pahiya sa ibang tao.

ReplyDeletenow this gives me a reason why the teleseryes we watch have the same conflicts with regards to "bosses and workers". napansin ko lang na bakit pag ang eksena ay between a boss and an employee, kung sigaw-sigawan ng boss ang employee ganun na lang, considering na nasa environment sila with other co-workers, at kahit na silang dalawa lang, it's a no-no pa rin. medyo nakakahiya sa mga foreigners na nakakanood kasi employee rights violation na yun pero paulit-ulit ang mga ganong eksena. nakakawalang-gana tuloy panoorin at switch channels na lang sa regular network dito. nakaka-degrade naman kasi talaga. nagmamanifest ang real sa mga series na napapanood. such a disgrace! too barbaric! and very disappointing.

Married people having relationships outside marriage in the office, djs being paid to play songs, etc. sana maaddress ang concerns nya.

Maaring nasobrahan na cia sa stress, she is human. And the way you constructed your letter, it's like you're saying 'hey, oo extra lang ako dito, but I'm a professor, here are my credentials, you can't just treat me like that'. And to think 2014 incident pa to tapos hindi ka pa nakamove on?! Choose your battles kuya. It doesn't make you less of a person if you just let this pass and moved on. What important is you acted as the better person during that situation.

Kasi anyone can easily file a complain sa Human Resources . Walang pang law against jan, peo may law na against discrimination...

ReplyDeleteI was never really impressed by Cathy Garcia Molina as a director. Commercial success,yes, according to the standards of the industry. But her body of work was not something that can be compared with that of a Bernal, Brocka or some of great directors of past and beyond. A legacy of forgettable movies with nothing of significance. ABS CBN lang naman ang nagpalaki ng ulo ng director na ito.
