    1. Nadala nila ang negativity ng kamalasan ng 2015. Umaalingasaw. Last year was their entertainment and dirty tactics, then bungad naman ngayon is people behind the cam like cathy and the staffs, at eto news. Only this 2015 lang talaga ko na-major major turn off sakanila sa dumi nila kumilos.

  6. Bring it on! Please, hire somebody who can actually write articles with correct info and facts. Enough assuming that your readers or viewers will just accept things as you say or write it. Be respectful too to get the correct names or titles if any of the people you mention or interview in your news.

Maraming ginagawa nilang t---a.

      Delete
    2. Sad is they wont hire someone who is knowledgeable and will really do the job. Masyado malakas politics sa among the ranks. I am a mass comm grad, applied with them several times after i became reporter to some newspapers, but still wont be considered kasi walang kilala sa loob.

  7. First of all, abs is not a reliable source of news media. Secondly, it's not that rude after all. This girl is overreacting. Punta ka sa abs-cbn with your lawyer if u want your post to reach abs-cbn.

    ReplyDelete

    1. It is rude especially for a titled individual being called as a certain xxxxxx.

      Delete
And this is not a case of overreacting... may pangalan ho kasi yung tao at mataas ang rank sa military. Fantard!

      Delete
    3. Seriously?

      Delete
    4. Not that rude?? Then you definitely don't know the ethical way of writing. This was a news article for god's sake dapat facts ang andito hindi pwede iyang nga certain certain na yan. As usual from abs cbn lazy journalism. Maayos lang yata article nila if it's about a politician they endorse

      Delete
    5. You're right. It's not rude, it's UNPROFESSIONAL! Kahit OJT hindi dapat ganyan magsulat. San bang estero pinupulot mga writers nila?

    6. 1240 ftard.

  9. Meron pang issue ky direk cathy garcia. Anu ba yan ABIAS CBN. Simula palng ng 2016 eh.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oa much..wala namang demeaning dun sa word na a certain. The writer simply might not have enough time to gather all the facts before publishing the article, probably out of desire na ma report agad yung pangyayari. Initial reports lang yan for sure at magkakaron pa ng followup reports, by that time baka na gather na facts about the incident. Mga feeling entitled..sus!

    ReplyDelete

    1. It's not so hard to do a little research about the article you're writing. Journalist ka and you are working for ABS-CBN for Christ's sake. Google is one click away. If the writer doesn't really know the LTC's full name he could've phrased it differently.

      Delete
    2. I see the use of word "certain" as demeaning kasi parang naging less ang worth o relevance ng pagkatao nya. And it sounded like the writer was not sure kung ano sinusulat nya which is hindi dapat sa news.

      2. Once you've published an article, that's considered final. You don't expect your readers to unread your article once you're ready to issue your final one.

      3. They are entitled because they are immediate family who feels slighted when an article that looks like it should have gone through editing first has already been published.

Karapatan mo maging mangmang but please act with discretion.

      Delete
    6. Might not have enough time to gather facts? In writing a news article the first thing you do is research, especially names. Simpleng research di magawa, ano yan katamaran?

And hindi OA ang family. They see their dad as a hero only to find out na "a certain so and so.." lang ang tawag sa kanya sa isang ABSCBN article pa man din. The man spent his holidays fighting rebels, he deserves more than that.

      Delete
    7. Demeaning sya for the family and friends of LTC Boqiuo.

For the writers and editors, more training pa sana lalo na you are writing FACTS under time pressure.

      Delete
    10. Sentimentalities aside, the writer is simply incompetent. In news writing, you have to be certain or sure of your source. You are writing facts, not showbiz tsismis. Citing "a certain LtC Boquio" as your source implies the source is just an ordinary soldier who happened to be on hand and was asked about the incident. The writer should have asked for the complete name, rank and designation of the source to give credibility to the report.

    11. Dito lang ata sa Pilipinas mababa ang tingin at walang paggalang for those who wear the uniform. These men and women in the Service are risking their lives and fighting a war against our fellow Filipinos - a war which everyone knows for as long as you can remember. Please show kahit a little respect to them. They should be acknowledged and not be regarded as a 'certain' XXXX.

  16. Kung maka-"a certain" naman kasi. Lt. Col. tapos ganyan lang? Ano akala mo diyan, "the who" na kriminal? Patawa talaga ang kaF pagdating sa news.

Or if they didn't know Lt. Boquio's first name eh at atat na sila ilabas ung news, kagaya nga ng sabi ni Mrs. Boquio, sana nga sinabi na nga lang na LTC Boquio Battalion Commander of 1SRB. Jusme

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wala naman sa puso nila yung "Thank you for the love" nila eh..pakitang tao!!

    ReplyDelete

Tsk.

Gimmick: saten eh lumabas, rumampa! Outside PH, a trick.
CERTAIN: saten ndi sure kung ano o sino, pero ung totoong meaning eh established, definitive, sure ganern!

Example: "I am quite certain that the government's plan to salvage the victims of the typhoon is just a gimmick."

Good.

    1. Good choice of words and examples pero incorrect understanding. Words change meaning depending on how you use it. Ang paggamit sa word na "certain" kung gagamitin mo sa sya mag-isa is correct kung sasabihin mong sure/definitive, pero to use it sa phrase na "A certain LTC ...." signifies na di ka sigurado sa tinutukoy mo. opinyon lang ang labas nyan just like your last example. That is not a fact. In journalism you need facts. You write those names in full. It its just like "A certain Maria..." = "May isang taong/babaeng nagngangalang Maria". Also "quite" has different meanings when used alone or with a phrase.
